A world championship is on the line if both fighters are at or under the recognized weight limit.

    Rules matter, especially this one.

    No.

Maybe if the Kovalev match had come to fruition and he knocked him out.

    (or vice-versa)

    Maybe.

Really no LHW is one KO (no matter whom over) away from entering any p4p list, save the venerable one already on them.

DeGale should move up the rankings for beating #8 Brandon Gonzales.

You guys might have to change your P4P rankings in a few months. Akira Yaegashi vs. Roman Gonzalez is planned to take place in September. Remember that Yaegashi is the lineal flyweight champion.

If Gonzalez wins, not only will he be a three weight champion, but he'll have wins over Yaegashi, Hirales, and Estrada. I think he would replace Danny Garcia as #10, since Garcia has a controversial win over Herrera.

Yeah Gonzalez has been flirting with the #10 spot for some time, a convincing win over Yaegashi would just make it a matter of picking the spot.

I don't waste my time with P4P lists but Gonzalez should be on everyone's.

    Hello El Genio.

Whilst your musings on the p4p list are welcome, can I ask you to stop posting your rankings in this thread? I don't mind you having done so once, but you've posted these rankings three times on the previous six pages.

I don't think the site would have a problem with your starting a new thread, but this thread is for the official ESB Rankings.

    Thanks.

Cotto is now the middleweight King. He's made history.
