    What if he carries on fighting guys who are ranked number 77 at a lower weight class?

    Doesn't that undermine lineage?

    A King that's a shitheel is still a king. Nothing can "undermine" that lineage...a linear Champ can be a ducking, difficult, money-grabbing coward and he's stil the linear champ. That is since the beginning of boxing.

    He can defend only against fighters who are 0-3 or worse and he will remain the Champion until bested, retired, or until renouncing the weight class of which he is listed as the champion.

    Rod Salka #91 with the IWBR. Today's world title fights with rankings by the IWBR;
    Darley Perez ranked 55 versus Argenis Lopez ranked 74 for the vacant interim WBA Lightweight title. Terence Crawford ranked 3 versus Yuriorkis Gamboa ranked 2 for the WBO lightweight title.Oswaldo Novoa ranked 3 defends against Alcides Martinez ranked 52 for the WBC minimumweight title.

    gamboa above burns imho even though crawford stopped gamboa and not burns

    gamboa arguably won 5 rounds , rounds 1-4 and 6 vs crawford

    respect to burns but he has to drop a few places imho
