    The way I see it if there where only 1 World title Hopkins before his loss to Taylor would have held it .

    Then Pavlik - Martinez and now Cotto.

    I love Yamanaka and Moreno at the top. Anselmo Moreno has long been one of if not the most underrated fighter in boxing...

    But what a shitty division. It was red hot only a few years ago, too. And now youngster Tomoki Kameda is the only really ***y thing about it other than the above mentioned solid challengers.

    Interesting observation of the day: Koki Kameda is still number 3 at Bantamweight despite some people having scored 5 of his last 7 against him.

    Quillin too high. I think Geale and probably Soliman should be ahead based on their Sturm wins.

    I understand that i was just using it to compare what seems like too significant a drop for Geale's ranking because of a SD loss while a massacred Champion who is clearly done at elite level hardly moves at all.

    Well 12 rounds is for title fights and the one 12 rounder N'Dam had in the last 2 years he lost. Also the only reason he has some is because he got awarded paper interm belts for ducking Golovkin and Pirog then handed a full title outside the ring without even having to fight for a vacant belt after they stripped Pirog for trying to unify which is how Quillin got his belt.

    Edwards TKO9 and Uzcategui were 10 rounders and after losing to Korobov Ossie Duran scored a draw with Traux and Edwards KTFO Badou Jack. The value of those three wins is more than facing worse opposition and he hasn't won a 12 rounder in over 2 years. Really cannot understand your argument for that.

    The split decision loss he suffered versus Baker caused him to drop down; probably he could reasonably have held his position but that's not what happened. I think Quillin is ranked correctly and the Board's ranking reflects my personal opinion.

    Fightnews, Boxing Monthly and BLF (my favourite independent rankings) all have him ranked above Geale and Soliman. I think it's just a reflection of how the wider world sees the division.

    12 rounders are for title fights and for big fights between top contenders.

    Nothing, including losing a twelve round fight excludes a fighter from a ranking. The way to think about it is that N'Dam has been deemed as a more reasonable contender to the title than your boy. The reason is that he isn't an established professional yet. I think that's reasonabl, and I lean that way personally. If you're right about him, he'll be ranked soon - and at a time when we can then say he would BE a reasonable defence.

    I will take my hat off to the TNBR team if Lara beats Alvarez. You have seen Lara the number 1 over Saul Alvarez for quite some time now.

    I thought Lara took it by a round, though a draw would have been fine. No real dispute with the verdict.

    Canelo seems to have resolved what I saw as real stamina issues.

    Definetly a close fight I can see how someone could score this one for Lara or even 117-111 for Canelo. Its the interpretation of who did the best work in perhaps 6 difficult to score rounds and what you prefer.
