I would imagine one might be more apt, despite that phononym, to confuse Abril with Salvatore Bonpensiero (perhaps better known by another name) :think
Right. We aren't pimping ourselves much. It's kind of a quiet, "we're here" approach that relies on fans and word-of-mouth more than anything. There's this forum (McGrain), the feedback tab on the website (me), Twitter (Tim Starks), and press releases (only three I think so far -the founding, switch from monthly to weekly in Dec '12, and the one-year anniversary. I did something called "Why Wlad Isn't King" before he became king but that wasn't really a press release). Some/Most of the writing members will mention it in their coverage and features. I for one use our rankings exclusively with no mention of even "titles/titlist" at all. I see no need to and find that it makes the whole thing more readable, less confusing, and more honest. Together, however, our bottom line is simple: Boxing needs an uncompromised rankings system/rankings that is authoritative and that does not acknowledge the confused claims of sanctioning bodies.
With all due respect, would it help credibility if the voters (or those involved in TBR) used their real names on forums instead of posting behind usernames? At least on this thread?
The only two members who post here are Stonehands, that's Springs Toledo, and myself, and I do post under my own name.
Two new entries at Junior Lightweight: Junior Lightweight Champion: Vacant 1. Takashi Uchiyama 2. Rances Barthelemy 3. Takashi Miura 4. Argenis Mendez 5. Bryan Vasquez 6. Orlando Salido 7. Francisco Vargas 8. Jose Pedraza 9. Adrian Estrella * 10. Javier Fortuna * Mikey Garcia (2) and Juan Carlos Burgos (6) exit for inactivity
Yeah, Ward exited for inactivity (p4p) ages ago. We're not stripping champs for inactivity though. Not at this time anyway. I wish he would schedule something.
So if Uchiyama happened to not exist, would Garcia by default have been 130lb "champ" and thus exempt from stripping due to inactivity? Or would he merely have been #1 and thus strippable?
That stoner. Why is he even allowed to have access to the internet, that degenerate? IB, put the ticks in the boxes and move or delete them, this is no good, this is no good. (I can't see the link).
