This is dead on Tito continued to climb up in weight from 147 to 154 to 160 for MONEY in search of biggest fights.

Once he beat DLH and a rematch wasn't likely he went to 154 took out the champs that would bring in money and then once that was accomplished it was either fight meaningless title defenses or go up to 160 and make BIG money at middleweight.

Are you suggesting Tito would have bested Monzon, Hagler, Benn, Eubank or Jones? or have I misunderstood?

I believe he's suggesting tito would have defeated any other current middleweight at the time of that fight, not the ATGs you list.

Tito sucks over 154. Bottom line. Oh yeah, he's one dimensional so thats not good for him either. He should retire if he can't get back down to that weight or maybe 160 even though he would get murdered by any middleweight champ now.

No I mean all of the other guys at middlweight at the time. I mean he walked right through Joppy who was another belt holder, I believe he would have disposed of holmes just as easily or any other of the middleweights from 2001.

So what you're saying is that he fought at welter, but couldn't make it anymore, due to him being blown up in size?

    So, a blown up welterweight?

Trinidad had well publicized problems making 147.

He had moved up to 154 in 1997 in a title eliminator to face Troy Waters, hoping for a shot at Terry Norris, but went back down to 147 to chase the big fight with DLH.

I remember Merchant saying during one of Tito's welterweight fights (I think Whitaker), that he really should have been a junior middleweight.

Hell, Steve Albert talked about Tito having problems making weight during the Campas fight back in 1994.

He still made the weight, he still fought there, he was still a blown up welterweight.

Tito was definetly the favorite and not many people gave Hopkins a chance to win. So i don't know why people try to take credit away from Hopkins for beating Trinidad.. It makes no sense.

Guess that makes me a blown up 6 pounder. Afterall I used to weigh that much and I outgrew it.

It was 2 years, his body size is that of a welterweight, poor conditioning is what made him unable to make the weight anymore.

    Hence, blown up welterweight.

I disagree. He was in excellent condition at 154. He outgrew the wieght at welter. He was 17 years old when he turned pro. You can't expect his body to not mature and him to not outgrow that weight
