Because TopRank did what Ward's people didn't do. They sent a contract. The fight was going to be on PPV and GGG n Chavez Jr were both going to get paid. Why don't you understand this yet?
GGG is PPV, but ducking Ward won't improve on those numbers. After a while the fans will get sick of GGG fighting blokes he is levels above. Like Ward, Golovkin is a special fighter, we want these fighters fighting each other.
:deal This To further expound, Golovkin did not have any better offers at the time. Martinez had signed for Cotto. Quillin was Haymon. IBF was being held hostage in Europe. There were no unification or ranking fights available, WBC had yet to reconsider their policies and WBA had yet to even elevate him to super status. K2 said from day 1 that after Chavez they would continue to campaign at 160, win or lose. If Roc sends a contract for 2m when there are no compelling 160 fights to be made, K2 will sign to fight Ward as well. Its pretty simple. Or Froch, or Kessler in their own backyard. (both of which declined) Had they any sense whatsoever, instead of ragging on GGG - folks like Naysayer would instead be pressuring Ward to send K2 an offer for a fight instead of demanding HBO or whomever pay him more money than Golovkin usually makes for yet another tune-up fight. If Ward wants to make 2m+ again... HBO (and apparently SHO) want Ward to face... gasp.... a real opponent. Go figure. Someone let me know when Ward decides he is OK to fight someone with a pulse again.
Ward doesn't even have a date set for his next fight. GGG is fighting on the 21st and then again in May or June. One guy is fighting and the other guy isn't. Don't know why it's so hard for some of these people to understand it
He is a rising star, broadcasters in over 100 countries bought his fight against Murray. He'll make his coin, with or without PPV. America is not the middle point of earth or something. And why should fans care whether fighters are PPV fighters or not? If they would have any sense they would be against PPV, because it limits the fighter's potential TV audience to a small number of PPV buyers. **** PPV
there's no need to duck ward, he's spent recent times ensuring he can't get back in the ring. shoulder surgery is legit, but everything since is starting to look suspicious.
What does any of this have to do with; Which is what I was responding to. GGG Stans claim the Triple Duck wants to stay @ 160 and unify. If that's true then WHY SIGN TO FIGHT BABY CHAVEZ @ 168? You GGG Stans can't have it both ways.
why not? you ward stans, whatever the hell that is, want it both ways, claiming the world and his wife are ducking your boy while he ensures he's unavailable.
