We'll see if he's a PPV draw when the numbers come out, why do you call him Bumlovkin, are you 12 years old or something? Grow up... Ward is an elite fighter but he's nowhere near the draw Golovkin is, simply because he is not an exciting fighter, it's that simple. Golovkin is extremely talented as well as exciting. I wouldn't call Geale, Murray and Macklin bums to be honest. You know full well his risk/reward ratio has only just reached a balance. You also are aware he's cleaned out this division of viable candidates, it's not a strong era but this man is doing what he's supposed to do, now if he beats Lemeiux he has to look up or down because he's on a different level than anybody else. Ward has a risk/reward balance too, so you're basically calling him a duck yet not acknowledging the other 'unbums' as you would put it, haven't been willing to fight him because of the risk/reward. Ward should get the tune up he wants out of the way then be serious about making the fight.
A fighter needs serious recognition before becoming a PPV draw. The serious recognition is earned by fighting and beating major opponents. GGG's biggest win remains to be Rubio and his fans roar about that victory every time Rubio is mentioned.
Not as well as GGG VS Ward. Lemieux is unknown in the United States. Ward is at least remembered for the Super 6 tourney. It is a joke that people say that GGG shouldn't fight Ward because Ward isn't a draw, yet he can fight Lemieux on PPV in an American venue when all of Lemieux's fans are in Canada.
Lemieux is known in NYC for whooping Rosado in front of his home crowd, won more rounds than Quillin did. Lemieux sold Canadian PPVs in his last fight. ...and you're leveraging what, a four year old feat here? Boxing is very much a "what have you done for me lately" sport. Ward's inactivity hurt him a lot, and that's all on him because he demands a minimum 2M a fight per contract.
