Thompson glues his gloves to his face, is a southpaw, and is awkward. So, he is hard to fight. Vladimir probably got hit a little more then he would of liked, but he fought well.

I know, if Wlad would just stand up and take a punch without clinching, panicking, or falling all over the ring, I wouldnt have a problem with him, but it seems anytime somethings landed solid on Wlads head, he looks weak and vulnerable. I hate when people compare Wlad and Lennox, Lennox took many heavy blows and did go toe to toe with heavy hitters and came out on top, Wlad, even in victory, looked like a wimp of a fighter against Peter, the 97 clinches, 3 times on the canvas, and practically running around the ring like a 10 yearold girl getting sprayed with squirt gun, dont lie.

Wlad is the real HW Champion & it just kills you doesn't it? Somehow you feel compelled to post in threads about him right? Out of appreciation or jealousy?

Thompson would be a hard fight for any HW due to his southpaw stance & his unorthodox style.

These boneheads prefer the caveman clubbing style of Brewster or Peter to actual technical superiority. It's their loss.

Ok There is no real heavyweight champion of the world, we have title holders and that is it

We have the ibf champ -wlad

    The wbc champ-peter

    The wba champ-chagaev

Ok wlad has the wbo but this is not important and dosen't come into it, when talking about the undisputed champion and the ibo is a mere trinket.

Ok There is no true heavyweight champion, and there hasn't been since the retirement of the great Lennox Lewis. When Lewis retired, the linear championship went with him same as when marciano retired.

Now to get a new heavyweight champion of the world, we need the wbc,wba and ibf titles to be unified and all held at one time by one fighter. I honestly believe wlad is the man to do this, but as of yet he dosen't seem to intrested. Before people kick off the wbo is not necsercary for there to be claimed a new undisputed champion but as wlad holds it anyway it of no little significance, or has it ever been at hw.

So once all the titles are unified, this will begin a new lineage and we will once again have a new linear champion. The only problem i see in the unification permitations is vitali klitschko, because if he beats peter and takes the wbc strap will be a few more years away from having an undisputed champ.

Anyway any one claiming wlad is THE TRUE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD
Is talking ****, no denying he is the best of the bunch and does hold a win over peter. He still has to win the titles same as lewis did and holyfield and tyson etc....................

    :hat

No you like to think it kills me but in reality it doesn't - I don't even pull against him when he fights because the reality is he's the best out there so his replacement if he lost would be just as mediocre. A real champion will come along sooner or later with a bit of luck and we can move away from this ridiculous Klitschko love in, hopefully.

The post you quoted was accurate by the way, he's 32 years old and in a division that he could quite easily clean up in - so why the **** doesn't he? I'm consistent with this, I've bashed Calslappy for YEARS for doing exactly the same thing.

Well yes there is that but Calzaghes career will still be remembered as tarnished by all the great fighters he could have fought as opposed to the ones he actually did fight. I'm not sure how WALD will be remembered it'll depend on who you ask. Someone who is a boxing fan will probably remember him as a big flawed guy who could be good offensively but was very chinny and robotic and went to pieces whenever put in the trenches. Luckily for WALD there's not many guys out there that can do that to him at the moment. That still doesn't make him Ali mark 2 though :yep

Bruno would KO WALD too, I've no doubt in my mind about that. Bruno hit as hard if not harder than anyone WALD has ever faced, and had a jab that would mess WALD up as well.
