I'm rooting for Mosley to brutally KO Floyd.

    Why?

I consider this Mosley vs Floyd fight as an eliminator to face the current P4P no. 1 in boxing - Manny Pacquiao. With Mosley winning the fight, there will be a much easier negotiation for a Pacquiao-Mosley superfight while a Pacquiao-Floyd superfight is very difficult to make as what we just recently witnessed. Also a Pacquiao-Mosley fight is hundred times exciting than a Pacquiao-Floyd fight.

    Why a brutal KO?

Floyd has a rematch clause in this Mosley fight but if Floyd will be brutally KO'ed, there's a chance that Floyd will not seek an immediate rematch with Mosley and instead will let Mosley fight Pacquiao next for all the marbles - P4P title and the welterweight championship.

So because this isn't a WW title fight, despite it actually being one. (it's a 12 round fight)

You didn't vote it the poll? :patsch

Just because Floyd doesn't want the WBA belt doesn't mean it's not championship fight.

    Which it is.

    the WBA

    Quite simple.

If Mosley wins he keeps it, if Mayweather wins, it's vacated.

Unless the WBA put some stipulation in that I don't remember that allows him to keep it.

But even then, the WBA is on the line in a sense.

Otherwise, please explain how it's a 12 round fight considering title fights are 12 round fights..

Why do you keep ignoring the 12 round part?

Title fights are 12 round fights. If there was no title..

Floyd doesn't want the belt, but it's a title fight.

Unless because Floyd wins it doesn't count. Then if thats the case then Pac is only a 6 division champion not 7.

Mosley vs Vargas I & II
    Mayorga vs Mosley
    RJJ vs Tito
    Mayweather vs Marquez
    ect, ect, ect,

All non title fights. All fights were 12 rounds.
