All those fights had some kind of stupid minor title on the line.

More like it, an eliminator fight between the P4P#2 and P4P#3 for the right to fight the P4P#1 which is Pacquiao.

I think most here will agree that the winner of Mosley-Floyd should fight Pacquiao next for all the marbles - P4P title and welterweight title.

No they didn't! These were main event fights on HBO or HBO PPV, all of which involved house hold names. They will ignore the rule in these cases.

    :think

ive always known title fights to be 12 rounds and non title fights to be 10

Then again, you said they ignore these rules.

Shane by KO in the 1st. Realistically Floyd by UD but Shane does have a puncher's chance and if he stuns Floyd it could end in any round but more likely early than later if it happens. As another poster mentioned it's just inconceivable that Floyd would take the risks necessary to break Shane down and win by KO. If he's dominating Shane he'll take the easy and safe route and just cruise to a wide UD.

Like me you're an old school fan. Sometimes its difficult to keep up with their bs exceptions. I remember when there were no exceptions. Wasn't all that long ago.

    True.

I always thought those many bull**** titles that these orgs carried were for allowing what essentially would be non title lucrative main events be 12 rounders.

EDIT - Like Pac's win over Velaquez was for the ~ vacant WBC International super featherweight title

When I run this fight in my head I see Floyd outboxing Shane easily. I cannot get over the Cotto fight and how Shane looked ordinary. Shane has done well when he is faster than a fighter, but when the other fighter is faster he losses, and Floyd is faster. And Shane is not a huge puncher so my thinking is Floyd UD. For Shane to win he has to do something extraordinary and be very aggresive and with Floyd's speed, Floyd will counter Shane if he does that and Shane will not take those chances as much. Floyd will control this fight past round 3 and win a UD.

I agree with the result - but not the bolded statement - Who has May fought that was a bigger puncher?

Oscar De La Hoya and Zab Judah.... and Gatti and Corrales were also bigger punchers in a p4p sense.
