The truth is if he wins the rematch he’s back in the big time (for how long, who knows?). If he loses he’s finished.

 

Exactly , it’s as simple as that , if he can get the titles back the train continues.

 

The only way he wins the rematch is if they can come up with a massive bribe for Ruiz.

He cannot beat ruiz it's that simple

Ruiz will punch his **** in and he will become the new David price

Like @Scissors said. If he beats Ruiz and looks good doing it then he right back on top. Its as simple as that.

I haven't looked this forward to a heavyweight rematch since Lewis Rahman 2....seriously can't wait for this fight!!

 

I think you're right, shame it has to be like that though. Historically, you'd see the best guys fight each other and most would have a couple of defeats on their record. The culture of the sport has changed so much.

Even if he loses vs Ruiz, he's only 29 and obviously right up there in the top 5 still. Would be a huge shame if we never get to see Fury vs Joshua - would be an enormous event regardless if either loses in the meantime.

 

Joshua is capable of blasting him out in 1 round. It’s a fight & Ruiz will get chinned with absolute certainty. He absorbed it last time, but this is a different fight and there are so many variables around it that we can’t say anything with certainty, mate.

 

OK maybe not 100% certainty but 99%

Joshua has virtually no chance, the amount of people going around saying "Oh yeah well if he wins the rematch"

As though that's a likely outcome. It isn't.

Why are people still over rating this guy?

I just can't wrap my head around it. It's a wrap for Joshua short of a tremendous upset and turnaround of form.

AJ winning the rematch is a bigger upset than ruiz winning the first fight.

 

AJ cannot beat Ruiz is something that is slightly puzzling.

AJ had him on his backside then rushed in carelessly and got caught badly.

1 different decision from AJ, we could be talking about a pathetically easy defence of his titles.

 

The hate you got isn't healthy. ..how does Joshua have no chance of beating him? You seem to forget that he put Ruiz on his backside so WE all know he can hurt him.
I bet you was one of the people who wrote Ruiz off in the first fight and now that he won you all over his nutsack.

This is what makes the rematch so exciting. ..for sure Ruiz could beat him again, but your talking like Joshua is some sort of bum, its ridiculous to say he has virtually no chance.

If Joshua ktfo out of Ruiz it will be funny to see what you and others will have to say...you will look stupid as you have completely written Joshua off.

 

Ruiz went down and WASN'T EVEN HURT

It was a JMM style knockdown, NOTHING but a point off him for the round.

He took EVERY PUNCH in Joshua's arsenal and laughed at them. He walked through him and battered him from pillar to post. He smashed his head in, had him crawling around the ring on all fours every time he landed, made Joshua run, give up and QUIT.

Why are people acting like Joshua winning the rematch is anything more than a very, very long shot.

Ruiz beat the **** out of Joshua.

 

Atrocious.

Ruiz wasn't hurt, all Joshua "not running in" would have done is meant ruiz smashed his head in and made him QUIT a few minutes later than he did.

 

A boxing career can be a very long time, if he loses again to Ruiz there is a big re-building job to do, no doubt

Its hyperbole to suggest his career is finished if he loses.

If he was to lose and come back to regain his titles a year or 2 down the line then it would b amazing

I fear for him however, what happened in at the Gardens was a very strange occurrence and maybe suggests something is fundamentally wrong

 

What's wrong is he's not as good as ruiz plain and simple.

This guy was skating by anyone could see it.

The luck ran out that night at msg all there is to it.
