There have been several posts on how Kessler would have beaten ATG fighters and how great is.... well here s the Truth.

During Calzaghes reign as WBO super middle Champ...

The supermiddleweight division was regarded as one of the weakest in Boxing (FACT) proven by the likes of Glenn Catley, Manny Sacia Anthony Mundine Marcus Beyer holding the recognised belts. The Wbo even had bring Eubank out of semi retirement to face Joe on 2 weeks notice.

A far cry from TOney Mcullum Benn Collins, Jones Nunn Era.

Calzaghe then racked up meaningless defences against ex champs and faded fighters, mixed in with some egyptian Pharos (Karimi Salem) and Australion Farmers (rick Thornberry) he even Kod Mario Viet in 1 round and got brave and faced him again.

So Calzaghe waited and waited....and along came Jeff Lacy.....( A guy whos best wins were against a faded Robin Reid and a controversial win vs Sheika(Journeyman)...Like Nazim Richardson recentley said..."Who had Lacy KoD to become this ruthless puncher". The fact of the matter was the Super Middle division was pathetic and Showtime did their job of trying to build a rivalry.

After Lacy....again there were no up and coming challengers...until Kessler apeared again the scenario was simple...Kessler fed of the weak opposition (Beyer and Mundine), HBO decided to capitalise and decided to have a coming out party to help promote the Calzaghe fight. They gave this good looking caucasian fighter ANDARDE.

A stark contast to Jame Toney' coming out party vs Nunn.

But it worked the one dimensional mexican punching bag served as fodder for the stupid ESB fan, and they took it.

    Again Calzaghe dominated Kessler......

Kessler is what he is an illusion, a blue print for any promotional company who want to rip off the public.

It's not about skin colour (im white), its about how promotional teams maximise their promotion using skin colour and looks.

Look at De La Hoya, you think if he looked like Roger Mayweather hed make all that money.

lol, i think you should re-name this thread as you hardly even mention kessler. your more intent on bashing joe calzaghe's career and his WBO reign. seriously you just sound like a bitter B-Hop fan even quoting nazim. oh and by the way, Lacy did come with a big reputation and he managed to do what no one could before him and that was floor robin reid. he had a reputation befrore facing lacy as having an iron chin. and lacy demolished him, thereafter he wasnt the same.

thePresident is wrong on several issues.

    1. Kessler won the WBA title before the Lacy fight.
    2. The Andrade fight was set up months in advance - he was supposed to fight Beyer as MBC madatory but got paid to stand down and fight the Winner of Kessler-Beyer later.
    3. Andrade is Hispanic and has wasted his last three opponents and is now mandatory IBF challenger.
    4. If Mundine was that bad how could he beat Danny Green (who later became WBA champ at light heavy) and Sam Soliman (who lost a close decision to Winky Wright) and fight for a title in his tenth :)yikes !!) fight.
