Haye should get more credit for fighting the number 1 heavyweight. He got bashed before for ducking then bashed for losing. People just don't like the guy. That's fine but it skews people's judgement of him as a fighter - he is very good. All this talk of him ducking Vitali is also nonsensical when he's already fought the better of the brothers. Haye's problem is his mouth not his trousers.

Although now I'd give him more credit for his accomplishments at cruiserweight. Also he did beat Valuev on his home turf, yet to the same extent Holyfield did. I guess my opinion is overall still the same now.

Haye is a Glass Jawed Disgrace. That is the truth about him and that is what people are going to remember. He made a move to HW talking about how he was going to jump start the division with excitement and then he goes and puts on some of the biggest stinkers ever seen. He says he is going to shatter Wlad's Glass Jaw and then spends the entire fight protecting his own China Chin. Even if Vitali is old and completely shot there is no way at all that Haye makes him look foolish because he is too cowardly to throw more than 11 punches a round when up against anybody who can crack.

Fraudley, Barrett, and Ruiz are three of the biggest Glass Jawed Jokes in all of Boxing and Valuev is a tumor giant without a scrap of talent or skill. You bleating about this crap like it is supposed to cement his legacy as an awesome fight is absolutely hilarious. The Valuev "fight", if you can call it that, was an absolute disgrace. Haye backpedaled the entire time and barely broke the double digits in punch stats for most rounds. It was awful.

Also, his punching power at HW is nothing special. His three KO victims have abysmal Glass Jaws and Wlad, who is also in possession of a China Chin, took his punches flush with little effect. After that disgrace of a fight in which Haye did nothing but posture and flop the Klitschkos are never going to want to deal with him again. He flapped his cocksucker about all the things he was going to do to electrify the HW division and how he was going to maul Wlad and he was too cowardly to even attempt. An old, shot Vitali would shatter his Glass Jaw or cruise to a decision over a terrified Haye who won't engage, but it is not going to happen because he disgraced himself when he had his chance with Wlad.

 

on what basis does he deserve a title shot against Vitali? just because he says so?

he isn't even ranked by the WBC, and I don't think Vitali would be so kind as to give a voluntary defense to a **** who seriously dissed him and his bro for 3 years, ducked Vitali in the past TWICE, and when he finally got his shot against Wlad, he made a clown of himself by showing the world why he lost

I thought he had a shot at Wlad. But all the antics, especially
the toe at the end, I view him as a joke.
