I know most posts are from pro Garcia or pro Khan people who are just here to troll. So I will give an unbiased honest opinion of both fighters. May be boring but I'm here to talk boxing and not be entertained by pissing people off. Amir Khan I gained even more respect for him after this fight because of the effort he gave in trying to recover and keep fighting. He was clearly the better boxer than Garcia, faster, quicker and punches seemed to have much more power. IMO I think he came out to aggressive. He really wanted to knock Garcia out and he was wading in with combo's and leaving himself open for looping shots because he was pulling back with his hands down. Looping punches are actually a good technique in that case because they come from an angle that is hard to see. I don't know if you can say he has a glass chin but he definitely gets hurt. The shot that landed was at the neck/base of the jaw and those can knock anyone out. Saying that, Garcia isn't a huge puncher and someone like Maidana, Josesito Lopez, Ortiz or Bradley I think would even have more of a chance to ko him as well. Good boxer with really good skills but he might be cursed with a weaker. He didn't quit though, showed heart and I respect him even more after this fight. Khan will have to fight his way back to the top and it's going to be tough whether he stays at 140 or goes to 147. He's going to continue to face top punchers in both of those divisions and can't take more shots like this one or he will have a short career. Danny Garcia Talented young kid in that he is extremely well rounded. Good amateur career and does everything really good, not great but good. Really good chin, ok power, good boxer but his heart is huge. He would not bed denied and even though Khan was winning all the rounds, he didn't seem fazed from it. He was cool, calm and just knew it was going to be a tough, long night but was inching forward because he was touching Khan a lot. I see him as a good fighter at 140lbs but he will have some trouble there with possible fights with Bradley, Maidana, Ortiz, Josesito Lopez maybe, JMM possibly....just a really tough division. Winning a fight isn't about who is the fastest, strongest or even best boxer. I mean if that was the case we wouldn't have had half of the great champions in boxing. Guys like JMM who isn't really great athletically in any particular thing but it's his intelligence and boxing skill that make shim great. A guy like Roberto Duran who was just relentless or Antonio Margarito who had a steel chin and crazy endurance. Sometimes it's what's inside that wins out, not just the physical gifts that are given to you. Look at the Ortiz vs Lopez fight recently, Lopez wouldn't be denied and he doesn't have half the physical gifts Ortiz does.
