Bute fall at 2 minutes 55 , the only thing he had to do was to get up , he didn't even have to be ready to continue.

Well Chavez fight had about 4 seconds left in the round just as you said was left in Bute fight, and it was stopped, and i did not see referee even ask Bute to check if he is able to continue, i can not believe you are so delusional to say referee did nothing wrong!

 

the end of the round and the end of the fight are 2 differents things. the IBF would have act if the have thought that the ref was wrong and didn't follow the rules.

 

Yes it wasn't 4 it was 2 seconds left. if there was time left in Bute's case it would be a completely different situation.

He didn't have to continue because the fight was OVER!

IBF rules even state that in that kinda situation the boxer doesn't even needs to rise completely but "starts" rising, so the referee's call would have been overruled by the IBF anyway.

 

I agree. To me that was far worst than round 10 of Khan Maidana. People said that should have been stopped, but Khan was at least showing some defence and firing back. Bute could barely stand up and was wide open to be hit with anything, which is dangerous and not great to see to be honest.

Anyway, it doesn't matter than much as Bute easily won the rematch. I just don't think he'd have seen the final bell if he wasn't the hometown favourite - but he's not the first and won't be the last to get that kind of treatment.
