I'm not hating on the guy. Just pointing out that he is protected. (And also feeling bad for Andrade.)

I think the main reason some people hate Bute is simply because of the Butards' constant knee-jerk reaction to any comment that's even remotely negative. I can understand this sensitivity to some extent, since their Hero has yet to face a real opponent, but fellas, give it a REST already.

See the problem with that was, he went down when there were 5 seconds left, so then what fight to let go on? All he had to do was get up, witch he did.

HBO really made themselves look like doumbasses by showing bute
up on his feet, even on there fast clock, by the time it reached 8.
The fight was over as it was the 12th round. I really can't beleive
there was any controversy around this fight. I'ts just hate for Non-
american white fighters is all it is.

 

There 's a good article written by the ESB staff about that. If I see somebody take this article point after point with a solid argumentation, OK,I am ready to read that but I have seen only the same old vid with the same old generality.
After the fight, Golden Boy promotion never complained to the IBF; they winned the purse for the revenge and decided to return in Quebec, so...

Bute lost the 1st fight without a doubt, he did better in the 2nd but he should have a loss on his record.

 

The ref should have stopped it before he got knocked down. He was out on his feet. Counter arguments could be made I guess. As for the knock down itself, bute beat the count and it was the ref messing up the count and the time keeper messing up the bell that GREATLY added to the controversy IMO.

That being said, if I was bute, I would have purposely gone down from an Andrade punch instead of trying so hard and wasting so much energy trying to avoid the KD. Get the kd, recover for the 8 or so seconds. Get back up. Maybe do it again, because he was way ahead on points. Fight would be over. Good to go...
