I did a good research after that fight and only one association's rules are like that. The three others, including the IBF, don't ask the fighter to be in condition to continue.

Forget Richard Steele, choose the rules. ;)

I have my Butard moments.

You never posted your objective, unbiased view of how Bute-Ward would go. And the thread was 8-9 pages long. ;)

I said numerous times that a lot of refs could have stopped it anytime after the 2 min mark in the last round. Who the hell knows what Wright was thinking, it was so loud in there he probably didn't hear the 10 sec warning... and Bute had dominated the 11 other rounds, so yeah, who knows.

The KD is a non-issue, and should NOT be why one thinks Bute should have lost that fight. You do, without even taking the rules & points made into account. Bute did not need to be in "condition to continue", his hands cleared the mat before 10, as per the rules the KD was just that, a KD. Wasting my time here.

That's because I don't know. Wards speed is great his stance is great he's able to use both hands with maximum efficiency, his jab is good and he seems always out of your reach so yeah he's something else. But his style and stance are also vulnerable to the uppercut. Also take in consideration the most efficient tools to beat speed are A Good Jab, Timing, Counters and Feints.
I'll have to study better Wards style and see more of his fights to make a decent prediction.

Right now I'll probably give Ward more chances for a UD since Bute starts slow and will probably concede the first 2-3 rounds against a fast fighter. And I would give Bute more chances for a Ko, but remember that at Elite lvl a Ko is really hard to obtain, much more harder than a Decision.

Hey, fair enough. I'm sure both of Ward & Bute's next fight will enlighten us a bit more on where that matchup stands.

Before Ward throws or as he sees a jab coming, he either ducks or keeps both his hands very high. Like you alluded to, feints would be key for Bute to land power lefts... Ward is definitely not getting hit by predictable shots, Bute's timing would have to be impeccable.
