A good idea in theory, but if it came to be that Pacquiao and Mosley won, I wouldn't want to see that fight. Mosley is big enough and strong enough to outmuscle the giant Margarito, and he has competed at 154 often. He would definitely be a step too far for Pacman.

i totally agree, mayweather needs a name like mosleys, and needs it bad!

If mosley came to the ring with a performance like last night i would have to go for mosley, with maybe a bit of ring rust from floyd!but i think thats just want i want to happen, who really knows how it would pan out....

this win stirs the pot big time, mosley has shaken a few 'guaranteed' fights and put his name in the mix for the lot!who knows what fights will be made for the summer and beyond now....

Mosley v Mayweather is the biggest fight possible right now. It would have more legitimacy than Mayweather v Pacquiao, as Mosley and Mayweather have been in the same division for years now. I'd prefer to see Pac fight JMM again.

Mosley v Mayweather is the fight.

Just last month this whole forum was dying to see Pac vs PBF, now its SSM. See what I mean, you fans will always have someone else!

the thing is eze, at this point no matter who Mosley loses to he will be labelled at shot. Better to beat a shot Mosley than to stay retired and beat noone.

Personally though, I would rather see Pac vs Mosley. I mean Mosley vs Oscar has always been a hell of a rivalry, and now after what just happened i think this fight makes alot of sense especially with Mosley being a GBP executive or whatever.

Mayweather can come back and take a tune-up against Berto, win back his title, shake off some ring rust, and then fight the winner of that.

Yeah, shame on us for wanting to see the best fighter in the world back in the ring, and shame on us for wanting Mayweather to have the chance to beat an ATG and have that on his resume forever. It's laughable, isn't it? :patsch

Its laughable when I see a thread saying "PBF needs to fight Pac next" & then a week later I see "PBF needs to face SSM next." You guys need to pick 1 opponent and stick to that opponent! Thats all I'm asking for.

Different people have different opinions. And peoples' opinions change. Get over it. I would much rather Mayweather fight Mosley. Other people may want to see him fight Pacquiao though.

I don't think a Mosley-Pacquiao fight is viable. Everyone is getting carried away with Pac's ability to jump weights because he is so good at it, but Mosley would be a step too far, he would knock Manny out early - and that's coming from a huge Pac fan. Mosley has campaigned at 154 and last night he was big enough and strong enough to outmuscle Antonio Margarito. The difference in strength and power would be too big for Manny. And there's no way Mayweather would fight Berto, if he wasn't motivated to fight Cotto or Williams or Margarito last year, he's not going to get motivated to fight someone who just went life and death with Luis Collazo.

Yeah, I understand opinions change. But you're basically the reason why PBF doesn't wanna come back, because if he would've beat Pac, then you woulda been saying he needs to fight SSM. Point made, case closed, thank you.

He is shot, he reminds me of 99 -2000 Holyfield, still a capable fighter but way inferiour to what he was at his peak, anyone who watched SSM at his peak at LW and at WW before the forrest fight, will know that the version of Mosley today is nothing compared to the peak version of Mosley. Margo is/was always an overrated hypejob, SSM exposed him for what he is. After fighting big strong brawlers like Vargas and Mayo, Margo was a piece of cake.
The SSM that moved up 2 weight classes to Kick ODLH's ass would beat the **** out of Cotto and stop him in 8. Today's Mosley can still wipe his ass with limited, SLOW, crude guys but no way at his age is he beating PBF.
