I would agree if it STARTED OUT at 60/40 but it didnt, Pac moaned about 50/50 knowing very well the **** this could cause as no fighter likes to be messed around.

Manny Pacquiao is 100% to blame here, there was absolutely no valid or acceptable reason for him to change what had already been agreed.

If his promoter or manager or whoever did the deal at 50/50 without consulting him thats not Hatton or the fans fault, thats a trust issue between Manny`s team, he should have went ahead with the 50/50 rather than messing the fans & Hatton about & dealt with his own team in private.

    Pacquiao`s behaviour is totally unacceptable.

    :-(

That is why hatton fighting Pac who is the present P4P king will sell more... not only because of hatton but also because of pac. It's the event itself that people will want to see and buy.

 I agree that decision was pretty dubious, but I was just writing the facts of the matter at hand, Hatton did beat Collazo that night in the eyes of the judges and so did walk away with the title.

    Nevermind eh?

You still seem embittered from a previous thread bywhere I never purveyed any views on Boxing......you disagree with me that advertising on here is wrong but I know enough about boxing to realise your opinions on Hatton are exaggerated greatly leaning on the negative

This has been gone over soooo many times it's not even funny! They didn't release it because they don't as a matter of course - it is commercially sensitive information. They didn't release (that I am aware of) the Urango, Castillo or Lazcano bout figures either. They did so only with Mayweather as a propaganda tool because it was a massive record figure at 1.4m.

I heard 850,000 mentioned around the time of the Paulie fight, which would seem realistic at around 60% of the figure for the Mayweather bout. Considering that around 700,000 watched Bruno-Tyson II and Hatton>>>>>> Bruno and is probably more popular too.

The States is a different thing, Paulie ain't PPV material and Hatton ain't big enough over there to carry a PPV on his own, but it's not the states that most of the Hatton buys will come from.

DINAMITA, I can not agree with what you wrote having been on this board at the time of Hattons move to 147 and around during the time he refused to fight Floyd Mayweather twice at 140.

Most people felt that Hattons move to 147 was less in pursuit of Floyd Mayweather, the man he had avoided mere months before in what would have been a fight for the undisputed Title at 140, and more to go after Carlos Baldomir in order to become the Champion at 147 by going through a far lesser fighter than Zab Judah, whom Baldomir had upset mere months before.

Most people on here wanted Mayweather to get to Baldomir first because of this, to force Hatton into the bout. So it is inaccurate to suggest that Hatton went after Mayweather in going up to 147, particularly as he wasn't the champion at the time of the Collazo fight and considering he went back down to 140 afterwards when Mayweather became champion.

We have discussed this before in the British, Hatton only took on the Mayweather fight when there were a number of asteriks attached in order to protect his marketability.

In regards to this fight, both want to make it happen but it is a matter of pride and dare I say it, greed. At first I blamed Pacquaio for all the trouble in making this happen but more and more I understand his perspective to some extent though and a bunch of posters on here have made me realise that too. Pac has went through a whole host of great fighters through many weight divisions and is the P4P#1...whilst I think it's nitpicking a bit I can understand the pride issue, I believe he does deserve a bigger cut of the money but this fight HAS to happen as its one of the biggest and finest in boxing today.
