STFU, when Hamed's reflexes turned to **** Steward had to try and teach Hamed to actually box. Something he had never really learned to do. Hamed's career tanked early because he never bothered learning the skills to compliment his physical gifts. While he was an entertaining fighter he was still a dumbass.
Havent been through the posts so not sure if its been mentioned. The Naz that fought Barrera had barely trained for the fight. Well never know how great he could have been. Unfortunately though you can only go from the facts. He may have pumelled many a good fighter but he got a hiding when he stepped up to the elite level.
Yeah please rest it ...what makes him look really bad is Barerra was going to give him a rematch ,he later on fought a bum that took him 12 rounds and then retire ,he was exposed and decided to run from boxing....what a ****ing waste who he cheated his fans ,he could have fought 4 more years or more ....****ing waste.
The truth is "could of would of" have mean nothing when rating fighters other than those like Salvador Sanchez .Naz quit after his first loss and his first fight with a genuine great fighter Entertaining, great puncher but an ego that couldnt take defeat Arrogant fool that believed his own hype.. well till Barrera sorted him
Actually was NOT Hameds main trainer, Suarez was the head trainer and in fact together they actually prolonged Hameds career for a few more fights than it otherwise would have lasted. Under Ingle he was starting to be found out, and he was getting hit often and being put down, he was steadily declining as a fighter. Then came Suarez and Steward, he stopped Paul Ingle and he Ko'd Bungu and Sanchez in double quick time. They tried to make him a more sensible boxer but it just didnt suit him, Hameds decline was down to Hamed and nobody but himself. plain and simply he just could not be arsed
I agree with the poster who stated that Steward had to show Naz a new style because his reflexes or as Naz called it Defence were slipping. It is the same thing that happened with RJJ and in both cases they were not able to reinvent them selfs to prolong their careers. Naz not an ATG in general but an ATG at the weight he fought at.
The truth about Hamed is that he will be mostly remembered for this: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ISwivnhMpI[/ame]
I doubt it.He had so many entertaining fights that it would be hard to believe would remember that one which was not even that exciting IMO.
The Ring didn't have their policy in the 1990s. They had their belts and ratings for a long time and in the late 80s or early 90s, stopped giving out belts. They just ranked guys from 1 to 10. Then in 2001 or 2002, they re-did their policy and started awarding belts too.
Naz is what made me fall in love with boxing....he was one of the bets fighters i ever personally saw in my time....
