He has enough money and can make almost as much by fighting a bigger NAME in America, for much less risk...you cannot justify it!

I agree...so do you think Joe really WOULD like to fight him or is he simply calling his bluff...having in mind better fights than that against Hopkins?

People wouldn't be anywhere near as close to being as interested in Hopkins - Trinidad. Not even Americans are that stupid. they'd still buy it but not to that extent.

He wants to fight Hopkins you moron. Him or Pavlik. Nobody gives a **** if he beats Dawson in wider circles.

What kind of sets of ideals do you think ****ing boxers operate on?

Joe would like the payday, it'd be summer 2008 and Joe would already have fought Woods in March or April, so one good opponent out of the way before th money fight.

Then Joe would feel good at making 175 and maybe challenge Dawson as his head would be larger than the sun, then we'd get what we wanted.

However, Hopkins wont happen so we'll get Woods and Dawson, I prefer this anyway..

Hopkins is a man of great pride. If he goes back on his words, he will lose some respect and i doesn't want to lose any respect from the public.

He specifically called out Joe C after the Wright fight and said something like, "Joe C, you and me baby, Yankee Stadium, 75 thousand plus....etc"

I think Hopkins wants to fight Joe C. Joe C just fought less than a month ago. If the fight happens, it will be somewhere in mid 2008. There is plenty of time. It's a big fight. If it happens, i'm sure both sides want to get it right from the location of the fight to the splits.

    Try again!

Bhop would not trade a loss for a win just because the fans want to see that fight more and it makes a bit more money!;)

Dawson may be the only big fight left by the end of 2008 though.

Calzaghe wants to fight him. Hopkins doesn't.

Frank "the best in the business" Warren's tactic is to try and goad Hopkins into it.

Calzaghe will literally and brutally murder Hopkins when they meet in an act of revenge for all the years of the American 'elite' ducking him.

If he doesn't fight Dawson and has no intention to fight him either...and he just wants Woods as a warm up for Hopkins, or, if that falls through, Pavlik at 168...then **** it! I am not impressed. If Kessler or Bute or anyone else for that matter wanted that I would be impressed...but Joe can, and has to, do better.

Hopkins is no fool...I doubt the attraction of the extra money will be worth the loss on his resume, for him. If Hopkins lost little self-respect for having ducked Joe in his prime, do you think he will lose sleep over ducking him at 43!:rofl

You are complaining about Calzaghe moving up in weight to beat champions.

Have you heard Dawson calling him out?

Why the hell is Calzaghe going to fight Dawson, unless he is a Hare Krishna devotee? Answer me that.

When has any top boxer ever fought those who they personally percieve as the best just for the sake of facing the best.

I am not complaining about anything, mate!

Joe said he wanted to cement his legacy and wanted to fight only the very best at 168-175. He fought Kessler - he was the best! Check...now he should fight Dawson...who is the best of the rest...but NO! You say he wants to fight Bhops...who Joe HIMSELF says is not one of the best LHW's. You also say he wants to fight Pavlik, who has never fought at SMW before and who was KDed by Taylor.

Enzo Snr. says Joe should only fight big names for money now, because his legacy has been secure for MANY YEARS! He says beating Kessler didn't add one bit to Joe's legacy, only to Kessler's!:rofl

Anyway...he is clearly wrong and Joe should listen to us...not to the man who wants to make him easy fights for lots of money = Warren, or to his had who wants to protect him too much, and wanted him to fight Taylor instead of Kessler!

Has Joe changed his mind about wanting to be the best and about caring for his legacy more than money and fame? Answer me that!

Hopkins and Pavlik are the best way for Calzaghe to cement his legacy, because boxing fans and writers are ****ing morons.

What the hell don't you get about that?

What I don't get is why Joe would want to go up in the esteem of morons if he could go up in the esteem of intelligent, objective experts? Just because there are many more morons than intelligent, objective experts? Just because they shout louder? It makes no sense!
