I've given up arguing. All these guys just want to make the Klitschko's look better by bigging up the level of comp. They don't seem to realise that we don't need to wear rose tinted specs to appreciate the higher level of talent in the previous 4-5 decades, we have videos.
Funny you should say that. I think it's quite the opposite. I believe you and many other posters here shoot down today's level of competition to degrade what the Klitschkos have achieved and how dominant they are.
:rofl especially the middle two. patterson and ingo would of done serious damage to a 46 year old holyfield. for the love of boxing stop posting.
Well you can think what you like about "many other posters" but I actually like both the brothers, I rate them too, certainly I have no need to deride them unncessarily. If you've noticed me posting in the negative as regards them it's usually in respose to yourself, widdow and one or two others, simply because you go way too far. What I'm talking about is the posts like: wlad ko1> Ali, Lewis had sharp hair, Sanders is the greatest heavyweight of all time besides the Klitschko's etc, etc, etc. I just think there's a lot of sillinesson this board and I like to make fun. Someone trying to make out that this is a particularly strong era is likewise rather silly, you only hav to look at th condition of the average heavyweight to see that. It's a weak era, it was pretty weak when Lewis was on top too, not as bad as now though. It's got nothing to do with a scarcity of Americans either, it's got nothing to do with a scarcity of black fighters or anything of the sort, it's a scarcity of talent. I recognise talent when I see it, I think Vitali for instance would be a handful for anyone.
What has that to do with the division. Povetkin beat Chambers 9-3, he's an Olympioc Gold medallist and people can't see the obvious greatness of this match-up.
Ibriganov is one of the only guys aside from Wlad, Vitali, and Haye that can actually box, but that doesn't mean he's any good. You're talking about the same guy who ran away from an ancient Holyfield to secure a win. Povetkin is very unskilled. He comes in straight lines, doesn't move his head, and stands right in front of you. His hands are fast, but his power is lacking, and he appears to be in a regression, likely due to his style. You can't get hit that much and not take damage. Wlad, Vitali, and possibly Haye would be competitive in any era. The rest of the guys are bums. I wouldn't call this a very good era.
? Chambers is like a broke ass Ali. He's like the Ali that quit on his stool against Holmes if that. Povetkin is basically cannon fodder. He's like a heavyweight version of Margarito. No, that's not a great matchup.
