Briggs is full of ****.
There is no radiation from an MRI. He is being exposed to nothing.
A CT is high radiation but an MRI gives better images of neural tissue anyway.

Neuro testing is not difficult and generally has no radiation.

hahahha how bout them asking for some warm up bouts??? hahah what a suprise that is.


I feel sorry for briggs, there is societal pressure for a boxer to retire due to something big, rather than because they arent good enough anymore or because they have stress or depression etc, so when he retires he makes up some ****.

Now he wants to come back he really should have been more honest straight up. Nervous system problems, adrenal fatigue etc.... He should have said that he is depressed that his wife F***ked him over or whatever the real reason is.

Now wiki isnt the be all and end all but it is a reflection on what people thought and new at the time that it was written (most of the time). He definitely said he had some medical issues.

its sad for him and i feel sorry for him but he made his bed he should lie in it.

it is also a bit strange that they would submit incomplete medical history... to say ohh we had this other medical evidence but we didnt give it to you is no excuse. Also there is NO radiation with an MRI or nerve conduction studies. He can definitely have a full neurological battery that is nothing but time consuming - is not physically taxing and will not jeopardise his health in any way...

also to answer what he says "why should i do it for these wankers" or whatever he said
the answer is "because Paul (and Danny) these are the people giving you permission to make your living"

what he has essentially done in that statement is like me saying why should i fill out my car registration paperwork properly????

green should have been fighting someone more credible atm anyway. i had no interest in this fight and wouldn't have bothered to watch it. it was as if the only reason this fight was planned was to give briggs a handy payday.

 

No they dont care about Briggs, Green just wants an easy fight to make as much cash as he possibly can

 

Why wasn't the report completed by Dr Lou Lewis submitted? The doctor they interviewed mentioned that report and the fact that they didn't receive it?

 

Well thing is Green admitted he isn't after titles these days he is just doin the circus route, Mundine keeps sayin he wants to dominate etc and serve up ****, they can both go get hit by a bus, Briggs seen a pay day in it as well obviously and it bit him the ass as well.

 

Maybe cause the poke ur tongue out and say arhhh and hold your arms up straight test didn't qualify as an MRI .

 

It was actually Briggs that was in Dannys ear to get it happening for some cash, a ****in charade by these ****s aka Mundine, Green and now Briggs is the 3rd ring in the circus wanting to scam the public for a so called big fight.

 

I don't know Paul Briggs personally but i believe he did have neurological problems................. u ask how i know?? Because i have worked in the the insurance (Life) industry all my life and i know exactly how it works.

Getting the all clear with an MRI doesn't mean ****..... yep the CT clearance means sweet **** all as well.

What people don't understand is how the human body/brain reacts to fast twitch fibres........... basically it's all about reaction time. In simple terms, if some mother****er slaps u in the face its how fast u can react. Paul Briggs in his last fight fought a bloke that would'nt last 2rds with Tomas Adamak.................. agreed yes/no??

Paul Briggs didn't retire at 31yr old because he had too much money or had a great legacy...... he was forced to retired because of his neurological problem was overwhelming.

 

Exactly his previous trainer was on the aussie box forum and said he isnt reacting and Briggs announced he is retired just after it in the media, now he says there was no such thing...by all reports he stil looks **** in sparring hence no tune up fight because it would show he can barely hit a moving target these days.

 

I only know what I hear in the media and around the traps Kel - and what you've written above is my take on things too.

 

I stated in another thread that i was unhappy about this fight.

Both Danny Green and Paul Briggs are favourites of mine......... gee i hope the winner ****s up some American cockhead inthe future..hehehe

 

my partner has been a pro boxer since he was 23yrs old he's had an suspension put on him until he passed a MRI at the age of 27yrs he passed but had the scaring of a 45yr on his brain. The boxing authority's have put a medical watch on his record he has to have an MRI every 2yrs if at any time they say the scaring is to bad that's it carer over unless he fights out of state... which would be a very stupid move An MRI is done to protect you from yourself you yourself can't see the damage going on in your head an unfortunately alot of boxers don't want to admit there reflex's have slowed which is a sign the scaring is taking its toll on your brain...
If Brigg's didn't pass his MRI an has kept it hush hush he's a very selfish person an has no respect for himself or his family that in the end the burden will be on when he can't remember what day it is where he even lives or what his family member's name's are... I've seen it tear family's apart cause they can see it but the boxer can't

 

Amelia nice to get ur thoughts.............. A lot of what u say is pretty spot on, what people don't realise is test like MRI and CT scan don't paint the full picture. The brain works a bit like taking drugs....... A lot of drugs are out of the system within a certain time frame, what is interesting is that Paul Briggs hasn't been subjected to these test constantly over the last 3yrs.

 

Who wans to put money the fight wil end with Briggs bein worn down by a body shot, a pre arranged no heavy head shots, similar to their sparring sessions when they almost knocked each other out.

I wouldnt even be sold on this fight if Briggs was still active knowing these 2 have a freindship like brothers
