More often than not, the simplest explanation is the correct one.

All of these complex conspiracy theories are just too much.

Let us stop making excuses for the fighters and promoters.

 

If Pac's OK, when why do you say he does what the promoter wants? You don't think Pac can lobby for an opponent of HIS choosing?

Boxing isn't about deserving anymore Eze. How the **** did JMM deserve Mayweather? Beating up LW's? How did Shane deserve a first fight w/ DLH? How did Vitali deserve a fight w/ Lewis? Beating up Kirk the Whale Johnson? Who gives a **** abouy deserve anymore. Anyone and everyone can see boxing is running more like a business then a regular sport.

All fans can ask for are entertaining bouts. Pac. vs. Margarito has the potential to a good scrap. And it's NOT the gimme all the sour asses are saying.

I hope you remember saying this once the fight is over. Pacquiao is going to whitewash this. It will look like a heavybag session, except Rockgloves is going out on his back. This is a virtual certainty.

Pacquiao zips in and out landing a few flashy shots over six, then can either stop Rockgloves at any point after that or just carry him as long as he likes. It's bankable.

You can scratch "business decision" for delaying the fight into 2011.

In 2010 top income earners are taxed at 35%. Obama isn't going to renew the Bush Tax cuts, which means Mayweather and Pacquiao's tax rate will increase to 39.6%. If the split is 50/50 and they make $50 million each, they will have to pay an ADDITIONAL $2 million in taxes by fighting in May. Now, to make up for the $2 million dollar loss of net income, depending on where the split is, the fight would have to generate a minimum of $10 million more in PPV sales than what they would have generated in November.

Would a fight already estimated to be break records generate more PPV in May as opposed November? Extremely unlikely... an if so why? Based on what criteria and logic... Nope, if you're making business decisions based on these dollars, you it make on what you know and NOT on a HOPE that the month May will generate more sales. I didn't even include that Obama wants to put a cap on how much in itemized deductions they can claim. Which would make what they owe the IRS even HIGHER.

On top of that if you think this so called recovery sucks, just wait till next year when business's get hit with the taxes from ObamaCare. The public is going to wish it was 2010 again.

Stick to the possiblility of Roger going to jail, other than the Pretty One actually being afraid to lose is zero in the loss column, that is at the very least plausible. :deal

I like how people keep saying that Roger going to jail is a plausable reason for canceling a fight. Cornerman help yes but canceling a fight is bull****. from Pac's side you have to think that he has to schedule his fights when congress is not in session. They have a break in November which is why he needed to have that fight in November.

Eze you are not dumb posted but this post of yours is really DUMB..REALLY DUMB!

 

I'm willing to wait till next year but already think that Mayweather wants none of it, two times and negotiations broke down, the last one he personally responded with "No comment" when asked why it broke down. I don't like what's going on nor do I like to think of it but that's reality.

The longer they wait the worse for both fighters. Mayweather will be inactive for too long and Pac, as active as always, might risk losing to someone. If Mayweather decides to fight, tune up or not, then it's another year off after it.
