Not really. Pac has better opportunities than JMM whereas JMM's boxing life revolved around Pac. He can't just pass the opportunity of fighting Hatton and Floyd. But if JMM is still there, assuming he gets passed thru Juan Diaz, Pac can fight him in 140, if he wants to.

Actually, man.. he did lose a little bit of footspeed and handspeed in explosive punching flurries. Noticeably less aggression too, compared to mid 1990's-early 2000's Pac.

I've been watching him a long time now.

But his boxing and footwork has gotten better and better. So are his combos.

I get that feeling too, Roach knows that Pac was very lucky to get the decision vs JMM last time & he wont want another close one like that again + the longer he avoids that fight the bigger advantage Pac should have due to the age difference... in theory anyway, boxing is very strange at times.

Weird thing is... Roach DONT want Marquez but he DOES want Mayweather... cant figure that one out myself.

Who cares what Roach wants, the Fans want to see a third fight between Manny and Marquez. They put on two great fights already, and both were so close, we need to finally get a clear cut winner.

 

Roach knows that Manny's planning on fighting maybe 3 more fights before hanging it up.

He's looking for the best payday. He wants Manny to fight the most financially viable fights.

They will probably fight JMM too, before Manny retires. But they want Manny to earn as much money as possible, now that he's in the twilight of his career.

 

i agree. remember that pacquiao has started fighting as a pro when he was just 15 or 16 years old. that means he has been fighting for at least 14 years now. his style then as a kid as i remember watching in local boxing circuit is to brawl. he would always win an ugly fight where he would be eating lot of shots from grown man (back then) and he would win just because of his physical gifts.

america and the rest of the world also have seen this "one-dimensional" pacquiao until his fights with barrera, marquez and morales which all have different results. the fight with marquez and morales triggered this change and overhaul of pac's style. this new style would let him add more years to his career but pac indeed is past his physical peak. but as an over-all fighter, he could be at his best ever since.

 

Bill, don't be naive not to know. It's money, NOT BILLS OF MONEY, BUT TONS OF MONEY. You know what, that is also the reason why JMM has kept on continuously and embarassingly pursuing Pacquiao. Even going to Pac's home country to ask for a rematch. You know what, a winner does not ask for a rematch. Only losers do. Floyd and Ricky are the fighters that can bring on money on Pac's table. Not JMM whom he has beaten twice already which you JMM's dicksuckers are constantly denying.
JMM should fight other fighters in 135 to up his marketability. If he cannot, he should resign himself to playing second fiddle to Pac's solo concert.
