That neither Maidana nor khan deserve a fight with Floyd but they were the only two guys in the mix because Floyd has no interest in fighting any of the other more talented dangerous fighters in his weight class 147/154. Sure he could easily had made a fight with Lara,Andrade,Thurman,Manny,Bradley and although a stretch GGG. All tougher fights against more deserving and talented fighters than Khan. Khan had no business being in the conversation for a floyd fight because hes never fought at ww,hasnt fought in nearly a year and is 2-2 in his last four fights. Floyd called Manny out for not deserving the fight because he was 2-2 in his last four fights but Khan did?

Maidana whom im a huge fan of is a warrior and fun to watch but if he doesnt beat Broner is anyone calling for him to fight floyd? Broner won his ww title from paulie malinaggi in what was a robbery as paulie landed double the punches of Broner and looked quicker and sharper all night. lets just say if paulie had a punch broner wouldve been doing the stankyleg. Maidana beat an over hyped undersized wannabe who made his fame poorly imitating Floyd. Maidana got outboxed badley by lesser boxers than Floyd. This fight is going to be 12 rounds of floyd playing paddy cake with Maidanas face and nothing more. Maidana is the same guy Floyd has fought since 2009 and no matter how much floyd and GBP will try to convince you over the next couple months that Maidana is a serious threat to beat floyd its nothing but bs! this is yet another fight the public doesnt want to see and more of the same from Floyd. Anyone who pays for this fight is an absolute fool especially floyd fans. Your hero,your demigod your idle has no respect for you and couldnt care less what you think as long as you give him your cash. Floyd is part of whats wrong with boxing and the sport will be better off once he retires.

Well this announcement became a fiasco because no one really wanted either fight but maidana was the lesser of two evils. with three fights left i guess all we can hope for now is that floyd runs out of cherries and has to fight someone. i really hope we dont get khan in sept which doesnt appear likely so hopefully there will be something different in september. Lara/Manny/Sergio hopefully.
