Look, I can't answer your question but I'll be honest, I don't consider Hagler Hearns as the gold standard like so many others do.. Great fight? Sure, but left much to be desired... Round one was 'epic' but after that nothing too spectacular. The KO seemed to be as much from fatigue than from Hagler power.. I'll be honest with you, I consider James Kirklands win over Alfredo Amgulo to be a much more scintillating fight with a much more satisfying ending. Remember if you will way back to 2011...Amgulo was considered a killer and Kirklands career was seen as being in jeopardy following his KO loss to the Jap, his recent legal troubles , and managerial drama. Kirkland took the fight in Mexico, and entered the ring waving a big azz American flag to all the booing Mexicans.. Amgulo started strong and even floored James in the opening round....but Kirkland battled back and scored an emphatic KO in round 6 to the chagrin of all the Mexicans in Mexico that night .. And to me this is the greatest Middleweight fight if all times. Not Hagler hearns
