I was in on what now?

WTF are you talking about? Never once have I said or agreed with anything regarding Lomachenko being better than Ali.

But he IS better than Spence.

It is not about who the better fighter is either. It's simply about Spence's right to have an opinion. If he feels that way, then that's his prerogative.

Spence has no clue. If you desribe Lomachenko as "nothing special" than you have no idea about boxing. Sorry for that, Spence is a good fighter but this is utter BS talk.

Alright strawman. No one is saying he can't have an opinion. This thread is about how valid is that opinion. I can have an opinion that Tom Brady isn't a good QB, but most people would think I am a fool for thinking that. It doesn't make me wrong of course.

I understand the "to each his own" thinking, but some each's own can be a little off.

What are you basing that opinion on?

I'd say Spence's win over Kell Brook was better than all of Loma's wins by a country mile. Plus, Spence is currently undefeated, unlike Loma who got worked against Salido.

How is Brook a better win than Walters or Rigo?

Brook had 1 win of note over Porter, was coming back down in weight after putting on the best part of 14lbs of solid muscle and he was coming into the fight off a fight where he took a tremendous amount of punishment.

However even if you believe that Brook is the best win, what exactly has he done prior or since to make you believe his resume is better than Lomachenko's?

Lol what did Walters do? Beat career shot flyweights? Lmao. And lmao at you trying to credit Loma for a win over a 37 year old moving up 2 weight classes when he was already small in the weight class he was fighting in.

Donaire was a champion at 126 and was on all the P4P lists was he not?

Therefore that would equate to a much better victory than Brook, going by the logic of the poster you agreed with, would it not?

As for Rigo he had the chance to fight at 126 but chose to stay at 122, that's not Lomachenko's fault is it?

As for Rigo he chose not to step up and "dare to be great" (oh how I love that quote) instead to feast on sub par opposition until it was to late. However he WAS on the P4P list.

Are you implying that Loma is not a great(or even special) fighter?

Donaire went life and death with Darchinyan and was losing on all the cards before fighting Walters did not? Did he not luck out against Vetyeka with a headbutt? Did you just start watching boxing? Donaire did nothing at 126. Post Rigo he's been done. You must be a new boxing fan.

Donaire was not p4p at 126 lmao. So no, by no one's logic is that a better win.

It doesn't matter about chances, all that matters is what actually went down. This is like saying Mikey Garcia had a chance at figting Spence at 147, but since he didn't take it, Spence gets equal credit at 154. ******ed logic.

Loma is one of the best in this era. He easily beats Mikey and Linares. That being said, his wins over Walters and Rigo aren't that impressive. His win over GRJ was, and that depicts his level more than the Walters or Rigo fight.

What are you on about. I never once implied that Loma wasn't a special fighter. I was just educating a new boxing fan on Loma's wins over Walters and Rigo. Bob is good at matching fighters up, he clearly tricked this newer fan into believing these wins are more than what they really were. I didn't even bring up Walters layoff, because, even if you don't include the layoff, Walters best wins were against far smaller old shot fighters. Walters fight against Sosa is an accurate representation of his level. He clearly beat Sosa, but he wasn't anything special.

    Lucked out?

Donaire was up 49-46 on every scorecard....how is that luck?

And it does matter about facts that Rigo had the chance to go to 126 when being avoided, just as Lomo has had to do in an effort to get the fights he wants. Rigo had the chance to "dare to be great"...there's that saying everybody likes to throw around (when it suits though). So Rigo HAD the chance, he should have taken it instead of at 130.

Now what has Brook done that attains such lofty praise?
