Spence weighs 165 (160?)in fight nights. I wouldn't call him too big (i.e Lara vs Hurd) but yeah he is big for any welterweight and will have weight advantage on his side. He is the bigger man and the biggest man in welterweight. Except maybe Horn?

On the side of Lomachenko moving in higher weight classess... There are different body types. I know Pac and May moved a lot of divisions. But why did May stop at 5 (6 if you count 152/154) and didn't go for 160 and fight Golovkin. Because he couldn't. Sometimes you just can't man. Your body and style just won't let you.
Pac is a real freak on this subject. Going with true welterweights after moving up 8 times.
But, yes. Unless Lomachenko wins Mikey in 140 he isn't May/Pac level of special. I'm assume that's what Spence meant by special.

So what you're saying is in order to be special he now has to go fight Spence & Crawford?

OK so I'm assuming Crawford has to now go & fight GGG, Groves & Hurd then?

Many guys blow up between fights Crawford isn't the only fighter out there to do it and it's not against the rules and more than likely will catch up with a fighter in the long run. Like I said people like you get real quiet when guys like Crawford, Spence or Thurman get mentioned.

Spence is a big dude, guys. It's not on Hurd's level, but he will continue to have weight advantage in the welterweight division. This aside I don't know how much Thurman weigh in fight nights.

People here have a problem with what Spence said he called Loma a great fighter but didn't think he was special. Well special fighters like PBF and Pac all moved up many weights. If Loma wants to get on that level then he will have to do the same. If people don't like what Spence said about Loma then they should want that fight to happen down the road as Loma continues to move up and prove Spence wrong.

BTW Crawford can move up to 154 or 160 if he wants. I think Spence beats Crawford at 147 right now and Thurman-Crawford is a 50/50 fight.

    Why would I?

They are currently 17lbs above Lomachenko in weight, would you expect Floyd to jump 17lbs in 1 fight to prove his naysayers wrong?

Also as a talent Lomachenko is head and shoulders above Thurman, Spence and Crawford. Crawford has o e of the worst resumes for an alleged "elite" currently fighting.

The thing is Lomachenko can never EVER beat Spence or Crawford. They are just too big. That's not even a competition.

PBF fought from 130-154 through his career and was usually the smaller guy at 147 and above.. No I don't expect Loma to jump from 135-147 to fight Spence I'm talking about down the road as Loma continues to move up in weight.

I don't get it! If Loma can only be special by going through 5 weights+ then how is Ward special? He only did two!
