If Canelo picks his fights carefully he can still do well. Attributes like an iron chin, skills and big power don't just fade overnight. However I have noticed he's definitely slowed down from a few years ago, and while he's hitting harder than ever, his stamina problems seem to have resurfaced together with the extra muscle. There are certain types of fighters that could exploit the shortcomings in his game as he gets older.

He should stay well away from Beterbiev and Bivol. Bivol's style is poison for him and Beterbiev looks simply devastating.

He went from dropping a belt because he wasn't big enough, to dying making weight in a year and a half or so?

Yet Charlo, Andrade & Benevidez are considered by their fans to be elite.
Thus he is considered to be a ducker.
    I just don’t see it.

Canelo is the face of boxing simply because he is doing more then the rest
    aka your favorite fighter.

He won’t though he is an insane person questing to get KO’d & he will sooner or later.
Either that or he wins a LHW title along the way.

Still his career definitely ends in getting sparked out in spectacular fashion.
Great for the sport & great for us haters & fans

    I don't disagree but I don't have a favourite fighter.
I suppose part of the issue is that if Canelo can't get passed Bivol he's unlikely to fight Beterbiev in the short or medium term.
Which leaves him after the GGG fight campaigning at 168 as I doubt he can get back down to 160 at this point of his career.
So he's in a spot where he would need to fight some of those that you mentioned unless he decides to retire which I think is highly unlikely.

For sure, I meant “your” in general for most boxing fans not personally you.

he will likely face & get pantsed by Bivol (again) then face all 3 of those Dudes I mentioned then retire.

I agree I can't see him quiting for at least two or three years. Bivol is bad style matchup and Beterbiev is a monster at Light Heavy and I think the only man that could crack Canelo's very decent chin.

What makes you think he can’t beat Benavidez? Canelo is very good defensively and can fight going forward or backward. David has poor footwork and only comes forward. I see a body shot ko in favor of cinnabuns.

he went from too small for 160 to too big in a year and a half? that is utter bs. guess the Mexican beef was too good.

He could beat Benavidez, but I think David is too big and skilled with those combinations. He’s a far better combination puncher than Bivol, and while I think people overrate Bivol’s performance against Canelo, his combination punching did make Canelo look completely lost.

It looks to me like Canelo is on the decline.

But the overal trend in his career has been that he has been fighting bigger and stronger challengers until he reached his limit and lost. I respect that.

    GGG has declined as well.

My gut feeling says Canelo is going to beat GGG in the 3rd fight.
