You know it amazes me when people say GGG needs to move up or he'll never be an ATG or a PPV star. Then the same people cannot understand why Canelo is being called El Pollo. A name I believe he has deservedly earned by his actions He claims to be lineal Middleweight champ yet refuses to fight at 160 limit atsch
Just imagine if Canelo met GGG & BEAT him at 160 ?? His rep would skyrocket & he could be recognized as P4P #1
If I was in his position Id have too much stubborn pride to let anyone call me a chicken. It just seems to me fighters like Canelo & Cotto do not have the pride a real champion has

Canelo fought Cotto for the belt at 155 because that's what Cotto insisted on, and since Canelo has not even had one post-Cotto fight at middle it's a bit drama-queen of you to claim he "refuses to fight at 160 limit".

I sorta disagree with Sir Hagler. I think GGG should be encouraged to move up a weight. He clearly cleans this division out, everybody knows this. None of the big names are rushing to face him and getting any of them in the ring is guna be plenty time consuming. And if he eventually did he is only guna end up doing what everybody knows is guna happen and beat them comfortably.

Next weight up is where he needs to be. Some big names, big nights and some real challenges for him. Dont get me wrong if he was younger id be all for him sticking around trying to corner all the chickens in the division but hes no spring chicken himself.

 

golovkin has already said that he wants to unify at middleweight just like hagler did. so that's that
