Just a couple months ago, Atlas was saying that GGG needs to "step up" and fight Quillin. There are certainly still some people who think that Canelo, Jacobs, BJS, Eubank Jr can create problems or even beat Golovkin. So, he should stay and collect all belts before moving up.
I'm not one of B-Hop's detractors and yes he would probably make my top 5 and certainly my top 6-7. I just think the Marvellous one is a cut above him.
You must have totally lost the plot. Firstly I think Hopkins was a great middleweight but just not in the same league as Hagler who is up there competing for the GOAT position at 160. Secondly, that was an incredibly close and still debated outcome against a fellow ATG whilst similarly past his prime. Hagler could have almost certainly made lower weights - especially earlier in his career but chose not to to compete in one of boxing's glamour divisions. SRL was actually taller than Hagler and could have grown into the weight far earlier had he not known what was awaiting him.
There's no way Hagler would not respect GGG, as they both are/were exciting boxers, and vice versa. Nice photo.
