No, it is true. They have proven themselves. It would be the beginning of an exciting new era if some young cat came along and steamrolled both of them, but I don't see anybody who can do that on the horizon. So you have to either 1) recognize or 2) show your own lack of class I choose #1. Give credit where it is due. They have their deficiencies but they both have had solid, dominant careers and neither one is over yet.
To be an NFL linebacker nowadays you have to go about 6'3 240 - 250 lbs and run a sub 4.5 sec forty yard dash, not to mention have the quick footwork and reactions to read the play at the snap of the ball. I understand some of u guys may not understand what this takes who have never seen much of the sport before, but its about 100x more athleticism and strength than any of the top heavyweights of today have. If these guys trained from the age of 10 to be boxers, you can guarantee that some of them who could punch would find there way to the top and would have no trouble KO'ing or UDing (120-108) a fat slob like Arreola or Peter. That being said the Klitschko's would have a puchers chance much like Cooney did against superior athletes when he fought, but their footwork and lack of movement would hinder them against bigger superior athletes. unfortunately we will never see them in there with anyone great barring a miracle. Those of you saying that Ray Lewis is a *****, would really not wanna be alone in an alley with him being mad at ya. he'll kill ya, he's actually done it b4 i think.
Theyre WINNING,SERENE....HAPPY...SECURE...CONTENT..GOOD PEOPLE...HUMBLE...Fighting everyone ducking ..NO ONE!!!:bbb
They are undeniably the best two heavyweights of their era. I would never describe them as the "baddest men on the planet". The term doesn't fit them.
Nah.. this **** is.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3QzX1ZadJM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWIZ01K3tGU
Antonio Tarver proved that he could easily dispatch of Shaq in an exhibition boxing match. But "any 6'7 guy" from the NHL beats the Klitschkos under boxing rules? Uhm..... hahahahahahahahah
Idiots spewing nonsense. Let's go to a professional: This content is protected Says the man who trains the P4P #1 fighter in the sport. And who trains superb athlete Andrei Arlovski (6'4", 240 -- or about the size of an NFL linebacker). No link. You want to find it, go look it up. It's in Ring Mag. Title: What are we to make of the Klitschkos? If you haven't run track, you wouldn't understand how difficult it is to do what Roach is describing here. And I mean difficult for track athletes at like 5"11" and 175 pounds. The Klitschkos are each 6'6"+ and 240+ pounds. If some fat sack of **** NFL lineman tried to do what's being described here, they would end up dead like Korey Stringer. If they were actually able to do this exercise -- think prime Jerry Rice -- they would last less than one round with either of the brothers. Get it? Freakish size + strength + ridiculous athleticism = Klitschkos. Think LeBron James. Guys his size shouldn't be able to do what he does. But he can do it. That's what the Klitschkos are like. The closest thing to them is Lennox Lewis, who is around Wlad's size, and I would love to see Lewis have tried to do the sprinting exercise described above. The Soviets (which is the system the Klitschkos trained under) trained in a totally different way than soft-ass American fighters. And I don't mean just some James Toney steroids, either. They were way, way ahead of the methods used here in the USA. I know, my brother was a world-class powerlifter and he spent a long time learning some of the Eastern European methods. As someone said earlier, you morons would think Bob Sapp is the toughest guy ever. Most of you have no concept of what goes into making a fighter and are just letting out your haterade because guys like Calzaghe and the Klitschkos exist and you can't take it. And I'm not even white. I hate Floyd, but he's a heck of a fighter. Same with Roy, whom I like. Cut the junk and get a clue. Vitali is 6'7" and often averages -- even at 37 -- something like 70 punches a round. Do you have any idea how hard that is for ANY heavyweight, even small ones like Byrd? Wlad is at least as physically talented as Vitali, but everyone knows Vitali is the 'killer' in the family (no disrespect to Wlad, who is unbelievably gifted and a fantastic champion who will likely have the more enduring legacy). And that's part of the equation here -- you have to have the mind to be a fighter, not just the physical attributes (and I haven't even mentioned the all-important jaw element). One of the reasons the Klits destroy guys like Rahman is because they're always in shape and take their work seriously, not showing up for fights like fat pieces of **** looking for a check. You can have physical talent yet be unmotivated and end up not amounting to anything. Ask the Riddick Bowe who showed up to fight Golota, for one. The Klits are like Jordan -- incredible physical ability (for their sport) who also work their asses off. THAT'S how you dominate your era and send pathetic, crybaby internet forum posters who were hoping to God Gomez would win into sputtering, "all my 'would be saviors' are in other sports, yeah, that's the ticket!" frenzies. As for Pele Reid -- how'd his pro boxing career turn out? Here's a hint -- both Julius Long and Orlin Norris knocked him the f*ck out, each within 3 rounds. Think he might want to trade places with Vitali now? Hey, Reid is a freakish physical specimen who trained for years -- if all you need is good physical tools, what the f*ck happened to the legendary Pele Reid's HW title? Think before you hate, or else be embarrassed. It's a new world, fellas -- hope and change. Time to reboot your mental hard drives. :hat
