I think AA has discovered he can't cut it at SMW, maybe he can go back down and do something at MW. He relies too much upon brute strength and KO power but it hasn't worked against bigger or better fighters. Hey, at least he took the chance to fight the best at SMW, no disgrace in that and he gets my respect.
AA's style has took him to the top of the middleweight rankings and seemed effective at SMW before Dirrell. Even then lots of us thought he was very close to getting to Dirrell before he was DQ'd. Last night Froch boxed perfectly though. A fighter with a weaker chin could have went down to some of the shots Abraham landed too
you mean "one of the top overrated fighters in his division". At 168 Abraham is a big Zeeeeero. This devision is too deep for him. I have nothing agains him, but he does not belong here.....other then 1 punch raw power he has nothing. Even his defence is against him, making him eassy to be outboxed....He might take Green and make it close agains Bika.....
Every fighter who gets beat on this website is "over-rated", no matter the fact they have 30 odd and zero records with world titles to their name. Abraham still beats 90% of SMWs out there.
yes you are right. He is a solid middlewaight champion that does not below at 168 elite level. And is true....he still beats the 90% of the SMWs, the likes of Green and so.
what is AA record against natural SMWs ??? well 0-2. He needs to catch up...but I don`t think he will. These guys have skills
He is far from finished. Gonna be a very dangerous fight for Andre Ward. Expect Abraham to take more chances because i don't think he will be that worried about Ward's power.
take chances with what??? he is soo predictable. Doesn`t counterpunch, just sits in his shell. This is gonna be a very dangerous fight for Andre Ward if Ward decides to make is that way....and from his last fight you may have some points.
Abraham looked like Clottey in there. I know he's a slow starter but I saw no urgency, no adaptation, no desire in there. He let a guy like Froch outbox him. Who isn't a bad boxer, but he shouldn't have let Froch shut him out. He looked much better against Taylor and even Dirrell.
Froch came prepared for this and deserves all the credit in the world. Abraham tried but couldn't handle what Froch provided and Froch obviously trained his butt off literally to perform the way he did. Froch just outclassed him completely, I didn't in a million years expect this as an Abraham fan but it's time to give Froch credit, the man has the desire. He fought like he never ever became champion, that's legendary desire and mentality right there. If Abraham looked bad then it's because of Froch, Abraham is still a top fighter, Froch is just better and there's no shame there.
Both Taylor and Dirrell tire late and they did run out of gas, they couldn't afford to stay too active because they run out of gas which created openings for Abraham. Froch, who almost everyone expected and knew, runs out of gas too but he just didn't that night. He was able to do everything he wanted to do with no issues so he got his rhythm going and Abraham couldn't handle him, his jabs would snap Abraham off balance and he never gave Abraham the positioning he wanted. Froch could have fought the way he did for 20 rounds, he was never troubled to be forced into bad positions so his heart rate remained the same relaxed with no trouble or force to push him to adapt or do anything out of the ordinary. He had the fight in the bag basically based on what he was doing and Abraham couldn't handle it, simple as that. All credit to Froch here, I'll go far enough to say he WON'T be an easy opponent for Ward or anyone, the man WANTS to win and wants to be remembered in the sport.
