Each of them are more likely to beat Louis than they are to beat Ali (especially Tyson)

Lewis more likely to beat Ali. Ali won't be decisioning Lewis and doesn't have the power to stop him. Louis could stop him.

Tyson more likely to beat Louis. Ali's chin might stand up to Tyson's punches, and if so, I'd like him to beat him on decision. I doubt Louis's chin could hold up.

Lewis is a h2h monster, size, skill, and power.
He has a good chance of koing Louis ,imo .
I like Ali's mobility and speed to decision Lewis.

Tyson has speed and power going for him, he could catch Louis and put him away.
I think Ali out boxes Tyson behind his jab ,using basic one twos as Douglas did. But Tyson is very dangerous for any heavyweight.
Most likely win for Lewis and Tyson is over Louis, imo.

I posted a thread on Ali-Lewis a while ago, saying that Ali would be up against it with Lewis. Ali never fought anyone as big and well rounded as Lewis. The one caveat is Ali's mobility could trouble Lewis.

I think Tyson is very dangerous for Louis and don't rule him out, especially early. I can just as easily see Louis weathering an early storm to wear Mike down for a late stoppage.

I can see your reasoning, though.

Louis has a proven record against much bigger men, though. Obviously, Lewis is a better technical fighter than the men Louis fought, but at least Louis beat people who were much taller and heavier than him. Ali rarely did.

I have to agree with mcvey on this one :bbb

other than I would take Lewis to UD Ali but either result wouldn't surprise me.

When Lewis came out of the blocks fast (he didn't always) Lennox was a hard man to beat.

That being said Lennox would never beat Joe Louis to the draw. The harder and faster he went at Joe I fancy Lennox just runs onto a jaw explosion.

Lennox was super strong and better technically and athletically than the biggest men Joe fought but he's the same sized target. Joe at his best was pin point, he's not missing Lewis at all.

Lewis best chance is mauling, using his weight and trying klitchko tactics. It could work. Theatrically. I think Joe Louis hones in on an opening.

    McCall did.

Lewis more likely to beat Ali.
Tyson more likely to beat Louis.

I think that Lewis' dimensions and skill will prove problematic for Ali, and "the greatest" will have to work darn hard to beat a prime Lewis. Louis has the punching power and accuracy and jab to trouble Lewis, Ali not so much.

Tyson I think might just crack mentally when faced with Ali, and when he chases him for a few rounds unable to land his hydrogen bombs. I think Ali might just drag him into deeper waters and win a convincing UD in the end.

Conversely, Louis is there ready to fight. Playing the fire-with-fire game with Mr Tyson is a dangerous one, even if you are Joe Louis.

    All imho, of course.

In a 15 round fight Ali stops Lewis and Tyson late. Ali is just too quick for both opponents. Lewis stand up style is wrong to beat the very best Ali. Tyson has the style but will cave in a long bout.

Louis at his best kos Lewis within 8 rounds. Lewis was koed twice by single punches by non entities. Lewis does well initially but Louis best punch, a straight right, turns the bout around in round six. Two rounds later a battered Lewis falls to the canvas after a fusillade of combinations. Against Tyson, Louis comes out circling and counter punching. A gradual beat down where Tysons energy level drops as the rounds go by ends in round 10 as Louis now is the aggressor. A right uppercut followed by a left hook thrown trip hammer quickly and precisely ends the fight.

So Tyson does better against both than Lewis?

Ali beats them all but I have no problem with anyone saying Lewis beats Ali, it's plausible.

Joe Louis loses to them all. He's a die hard cruiserweight.

The big men who Louis bested bear no comparison to Lennox Lewis whatsoever in any aspect of the sport other than perhaps maximum punching power in the case of Baer. His wins over them say next to nothing about how he would fare agains Lewis, imo.
