In this study you can see how Lewis improved the combo he tried to land on McC|all when he knocked out Rahman, how bad was Lewis before he trained with Steward?

He was still good enough to beat a few top guys, aka Ruddock.

This shows just how brilliant Emanuel Stewart was and Lennox's ability to adapt.

Ruddock overcomtted throwing a jab against Lewis, which is what Lewis was shown doing v McCall on this study, Ruddock v Lewis was just a case of who would make the big mistake first and Ruddock was off-balance throwing that jab to the body leaving him open to that big counter right.

I would agree. But I think it also had to do with Ruddock essentially being a one handed hitter. As much as I love the smash, a straight right hand is a more accurate weapon than a hybrid left hook/left uppercut.

Ruddock telegraphed his SMASH, Lewis didn't telegraph his right, and I think that made the difference.
