the ones that can beat him. Pacquiao, Mosley, Margarito ( 3 years ago), Cotto, Berto, Williams, he would have **** his pants against Mayorga even though he would win that one,Clottey,he never would have fought Forrest, and thats just my first min. of thought brb
Oscar came up with a stupid excuse. Saying "I didnt use my jab enough" is alot better then "Floyd stepped it up and I couldnt follow" Bet you believe everything that comes out of a fighters mouth after they lose dont you. Thats the difference between Floyd and other fighters. Did Floyd whine about his torn rotator cuff(something that Manny Steward confirmed when he went to his house) or did he rematch Castillo and leave no doubt as to who was better. Exactly. Run along kid.
LOL that's exactly what he brought up when the boxing critics said "you got a gift" He brought up his rotater cuff because he knew he looked bad. If he won the fight, the issue would not be known to all of us. Everyone who watched the fight saw oscar winning rounds with his jab, and we all saw when he quit that he was giving up the fight. Mayweather even said before the match that Oscar fades in the late rounds. It's true. He said "we don't count split decisions" when talking about why he was fighting zab. He has a split decision win over oscar, how the **** is that for hypocritical? You can turn a blind eye to every ****ing piece of evidence that Floyd is a liar and a ducker, but you are the one who has to live with it, not me. I accepted his short coming when he didn't make weight against Marquez, I am writing him off until he earns back some of the respect he has lost.
Injury or not, it's obvious for honest fans to recognize Mayweather clearly lost the Castillo I fight. Jean Pascal just won most of the rounds against Adrian Diaconu, while fighting with a messed up shoulder that had to be put back into place 3 times by his cornermen during the fight..... The OP is not off track with his initial post. High volume punchers, ideally with speed, loads of stamina, and a good chin that can absorb counter punches all night, certainly have a good chance of pulling off a decision on score cards against Floyd.
**** UglyBeatch, Period!!!!! The amount of good fighters he ducked is almost twice, then he fought!!!!!!!!! And that beatch is a P4P fighter??? Get the **** outta here!!!
Diaconu is on the same level as Castillo. Post your scorecard too. This should be a laugh. I mean you do know most of ringside observers had Floyd winning dont you? Basically the perfect fighter. :rofl
simple...floyd tries to avoid guys who has a fair chance of beating him.... it's for the sake of keeping his zero intact...
Sorry I dont think I did miss the point. You moronically tried to say that since PAscal beat a D level fighter in Diaconu with an injury that Floyd not beating possibly the greatest lightweight of this generaton with an injury, is no excuse. Thats ok, its incredibly stupid, but we all have our opinions. Yeah I thought so. Most of the idiots who say Floyd lost to Castillo the first time around fittingly are never able to present a scorecard. As for the punch stats, look at Floyds face after the fight, pretty clean, most of Castillos punches were to the body and came late in the fight, so it really has no bearing on who actually won the fight. Floyd concievably won the first 5 rounds. It would be too hard to find 2 rounds he won after that. The fighters the OP mentioned would have no chance against Mayweather
Sorry but yea Luke has a point. The thing about Williams, Margarito, Pacquiao and Mosley is that NONE of those guys are easily deterred. Clottey beat the doors off of Baldomir YEARS before Mayweather got him. Yes, that same Clottey who throws like half the punches of his typical opponent. Baldomir was never a volume puncher, just a steady pressure brawler with an iron chin. In order to stop any of those 4 guys you have to go to war. No denying it. After Castillo, Mayweather had the fight taken out of him.
Not really. Clottey was up 1 round on the judges scorecards heading into the 11th. Clottey was not the patient fighter he is now, was a pretty good scrap until clottey started throwing his head around. DLH didnt go to war when he beat a roided up Mosley. Clottey didnt go to war when he had Cotto running for his life. Margarito, please, Floyd would dance around him so fast that Margarito would think he's fighting 3 Floyds. Hell Quintana didnt get into much of a war when he countered Williams so easily. Sorry, nobody thinks these guys are that good anymore. They wer decent guys, not elite. Corrales and Castillo P4P were better then all of them save Mosley. Btw Mayweather had a war with Corley after he beat Castillo and walked down Judah like a pressure fighter aswell. Nothing was taken from Mayweather when he beat Castillo twice.
Baldomir got a gift when he DQ'd Clottey. Nobody can deny that. Sure, Baldomir was coming on by virtue of his face beating Clottey's hands, but Clottey showed just how ineffective Baldomir was when getting tagged left and right. Also, DLH went to war with Mosley. No denying that either. Mosley also gave Wright, a much bigger opponent hell. As far as I'm concerned, he went easy on Cotto because of Cotto's supposed rep as a puncher. Even though Martinez hit Williams with everything he had Williams was 1) still there and 2) throwing back just as much as he got. It'd have been one thing if Martinez got rid of him but he didn't. Mayweather wouldn't either. I think you are seriously underestimating how draining it is on a boxer when the guy keeps coming and keeps throwing despite taking your best shots. At least with Baldomir you know he's going to throw only a few punches. Not so with the others. Especially with Pacquiao.
Thats Baldomirs game. Where the other guy down by virtue of his ability to take alot of punishment. He's not the first fighter to use that techniqie, i.e Margacheato. Still Baldomir landed some bombs on Clottey and he was having some success in the late rounds. It was not a shut out like some like to say. Uhh you're thinking of the 1st fight. In the second fight DLH boxed tactically and won what should have been a clear decision. The 2nd fight was anything but a war. Entertaining, but a boxing match. Thats Mosleys' weakness really. Dumbass Margarito types get blasted by Mosley. Guys that box him, DLH, Forrest, Wright, Cotto have success. Even Mayorga who Mosley couldnt time was giving Mosley hell. And you think he'd fair well against the ultimate boxer in Mayweather who has no qualms about potshotting to a UD, and has a near impenetrable defense? Please. Nonsense. First of all Wright dominated Mosley in the first fight. Secondly the second fight though closer was still a clear Wright win and not only that, Wright is the type of guy who has low output, little movement, while walking you down, and he still schooled Mosley. WRight doesnt go for knockouts, he doesnt go for big power punches, so that pretty much contradicts your whole statement that you have to get into a war with Mosley to beat him. Thats the opposite of how you beat MOsley. Get in a war with Mosley and you get annihilated like VArgas and Margacheato were. AS for Cotto, Mosley was head hunting against Cotto in that fight. He couldnt land, mostly because he couldnt time Cotto. Again something thats a big part of Mosleys game. Mosley obliterated Margacheato because he is doesnt have a defense and comes forward in straight lines. Easy to time. Easy to hit. Mayweather has a better defense and stamina then Martinez. Martinez would have won but he keeps his hands down, a way to maintain his speed. Floyd is just as fast countering out of his shell as he is with his hands down. Martinez also got tired in the middle rounds, which allowed Williams to steal a few rounds. Floyds movement, speed and superior countering then both Quintana and MArtinez would dominate Williams world. I agree about PAcquiao. Pacquiao is gonna be hell for Floyd. He's the only one that really doesnt have many flaws. Like a young Shane in many aspects, but faster.
atsch u are clueless! For u to think that an inaccurate boxer without a footwalk like williams will beat Floyd,a soft punching Quintana beats Williams, the only fighters paul doesnt have problems with are the tall fighters like defensive winky wright and margarito who doesnt have the chance to lace Williams with his liquid concrete and that is about his best opponents plus Sergio Martinez which was a majority draw so take Williams out of your equation. Margarito can come on now afterall we all know now that he doesnt carry that much power thanks to Mosley for the exposure and why fight mosley when Mosley had a chance to make the biggest payday in his career he said he needs to go see about his tooth:huh, remember sugar ray leonard and Hagler when leonard first said his winky finger is not feeling good and Hagler said for a million dollars i will cut that **** off meaning if it makes money it makes sense.
