    We are coming to the end of the year 2023 in the UFC and now its time to use this tier list to decide the fighter of the year. Leon Edwards? Jon Jones? Sean O'Malley? Islam Makhachev? Sean Strickland? Let me know what you guys think in the comments section down below.

    Islam Makhachev's year was very impressive, but people will probably discredit it since both his victories came over a featherweight. That being said, Alexander Volkanovski is a hell of a scalp to have on your resume, size advantage or no. It's also extremely impressive when a fighter wins an extremely close and hard fought battle only to quickly dispatch them with a technical adjustment in the rematch. It's not like Volkanovski fell off. Islam just exploited one of his anatomical and technical weaknesses with that headkick.
