Its got nothing to do with a KO. It was the hitting with the inside of the glove........the outside of the glove (which he was warned twice about by the ref)........the patting on the head (which isn't a punch)........and the pitty-pat arm punch ****.

He has so much baggage hanging on him from the amateur game, and he needs to get rid of it.

I wish him well for the future, but on first viewing he has a long road ahead of him.

He slimmed down so much his shorts were waaaaaaaay too big for him :D

He gets some hate on the British forum, but I like him

The guy he fought was a fat hairy slob who barely had the stamina to lift his arms up so we dont know anymore about Tyson than we did this time yesterday

Seeing a 6'10 18st super heavy popping some Naz moves was pretty funny though

    **** the football fan crowd.

Posters in the Brit forum are saying the same thing. You can't honestly tell me that you were that impressed?!?

Jeffries, Gavin and especially Saunders looked a lot more impressive on their debuts. Fact.:deal

    Ahh, nice one, cheers mate;)

I take it it was Peret that was stopped. Was TF looking good for the little you saw of him?

Anyone think he's the real deal?

He still looks quite sloppy to me but that could just be his physique and height. I do think he will be winning belts in the next few years. I hope so and I hope he keeps his ego in check. Seems like a decent, shy lad. He's going to make himself look like a **** if he keeps giving it the big one.

The fight was in Birmingham, which is my home city, and there is very rarely any boxing in Birmingham for a couple of reasons....the first of which is because we have rarely produced any fighters of note, and second is because of the crowds that attend boxing in Birmingham....when Robert McCracken was fighting for titles, his following was primarily made up of Birmingham Citys football fans who had a reputation for violence which spilled over into boxing...when McCracken beat Andy Till in Watford, McCrackens fans tried to attack Till and rioted in the stadium, the same year on the undercard of a Nigel Benn fight in Birmingham, hundreds and hundreds of McCracken fans rioted and brawled with fans of Steve Foster from Manchester...since then Birmingham has been virtually blacklisted by promoters, but Frankie Gavin is from Birmingham, and at his fight tonight, at the same venue that the McCracken riots 15 years ago, you could tell that it was the same type of crowd....you could hear all the fans chanting Birmingham City songs....as Frankie gets bigger and has high profile fights, I wonder whether the same sorts of hooligans will cause trouble in the arenas?

its hard to judge Tyson against such a weak opponent...I think he could be a good, exciting fighter, and he;s staying active because he's fighting again in 2 weeks, so maybe we will know more in a few months

    Fair point Lozkin.:good

I was just getting at the other poster who was blaming Degale's bad performance on the crowd, when in fact hard-core boxing enthusiasts were also slagging it off. He was not that impressive
