Bulgaria was NEVER part of the Soviet Union, so I'm not sure how Pulev is included by any logic.

Age isn't age. If age was just age Manny wouldn't have just beaten the younger fresher Thurman. 40 today isn't what it was like in the past.

Vitali got wins at 40 and 41 before retiring. He was the favorite to beat Haye at 41 when that fight was being talked about. If age was age he shouldn't have been given a chance at beating Haye.

The reason Wlad lost to Fury is because of levels , not because of age. Fury stripped WK bare and exposed is one dimensional skill -set. It was always there , the opponents were just undersized and not skilled enough to expose him.

Fury spanks any version of Wlad because the version he beat was as good as any Wlad.

Hell , you even admit that yourself. :qmeparto:

The nations behind the Iron Curtain were Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania and the USSR; however, East Germany, Czechoslovakia and the USSR have since ceased to exist.

Countries that made up the USSR were Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Ukraine, Estonia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Lithuania, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.

So there you have it.

Lewis > Wlad
Fitz < Vitali
Bruno < Povetkin
Joshua > Ibragimov
Fury > Chagaev

Farr < Maskaev
Cooper < Valuev
Haye > Liakovich
Woodcock > Pulev (DQ when a map of post-war Europe reveals that Bulgaria was not in the USSR)
Co@kell > Boytsov

6-4 to the UK team. I'm sure an actual ex-Soviet fighter could be drafted in though who would beat Woodcock - Usyk being the obvious choice.

Bulgaria has never been part of the Soviet Union . Which was your stipulation for the matchups, ie the UK v the Soviet Union.

I did not pick a fighter from any of the above areas. I did post the geography to clarify.

OK it is not a big deal if you slipped up on one, but are we talking about fighters born in the former USSR, or the communist bloc generally?
