I have no idea what he's all about in general. But I do know that his posts are presented like a drunken man. Nobody with a finely balanced brain could sum up the opinions and views that he comes away with.

Have I seen him fight? Yes. Have I seen him fight at his best? No.

That is not the point I'm making. There is absolutely no way in hell he was the greatest fighter ever under Duva and Benton, when they had fighters like Whitaker and Holyfield. Ayala was much bigger than Pea, so we're not talking in a head to head sense, but in a P4P, ATG sense. You have absolutely no case whatsoever for rating Ayala that high.

Ayala had a great amatuer career, he was a tough, mean and vicious puncher with good speed, problem was his career was cut short because he liked to **** and beat woman so he never got the chance to fully develope his natural talent to the fullest. he could have been a problem for SRL or he could have become another Fernando Vargas who was good but could not beat the uppercrust of the division....I personally think Ayala was better than Vargas but to compare him to JONES is like comparing Ike Ibeabuci to Lewis...never really proved himself at that level

Much worse even Bummy, at least Ike fought a top fight vs a rated contender or two, tho promising i think the best Tony fought would have been ranked about 30-50 in the world. He hadn't fought anyone with a pulse before going to prison.

I never let my enemies dictate terms to me thereby never giving them a ray of hope.

Translated - he thinks he's a Rooster but ine reality he's just a dirty old featherduster

Which from here on will of course be your new moniker :D

I am now inspired into song, from a band called Divine

    You think you're a Rooster - Divine

Rooster - featherduster, Rooster - featherduster

Rooster - featherduster, Rooster - featherduster

    Rooster - featherduster

    Turn around
Stand up like a rooster and look me in the eye
    Turn around
Take one final look at what you've left behind

    Then walk away
From the greatest lover you have ever known
    Yes walk away
You're telling me that you can make it
    On your own, by yourself
    All alone, without my help
Mister you just made a big mistake

    REFRAIN:
    You think you're a rooster
    But you're only a featherduster
    You think you're a rooster
    You are only a toy
    You think you're a rooster
    But you just couldn't see
You weren't rooster enough to satisfy me

    Shut the door
Take a look around and tell me what you find
    Shut the door
Take a giant step for you and all roosterkind

    Then don't come back
I always gave you so much more than you deserve
    Now don't come back
'cause no one makes a fool of me
You've got a nerve to walk away
Mark the words I'm gonna say
Mister you just made a big mistake

    You think you're a rooster
    But you're only a featherduster
    You think you're a rooster
    You are only a toy
    You think you're a rooster
    But you just couldn't see
You weren't rooster enough to satisfy me

    rooster - featherduster

    rooster - featherduster
    rooster - featherduster
    rooster - featherduster

    You think you're a rooster
    But you're only a featherduster
    You think you're a rooster
    You are only a toy
    You think you're a rooster

I know he was up there even tho I don't know for sure how long he would be champion. But no other Duva fighter I can think of had that kind of crippling power or determination to punch holes thru an opponent.

I used to watch him live on TV wiping out all comers. They all came in to lose including Angelo Dundee's Steve Gregory who put up a valiant effort before the body assault of Tony took it's toll in 3-the perfect example of "kill the body and the head will die".

Tony was not only brutal but smart as well and followed orders to the T. he would literally walk thru Steve's punches without batting an eye and fire away body and head. People mistake Tony's girth for baby fat when in reality it was all muscle. Tony was big boned like Juan Roldan so you know he probably had the same catagory 5 power.

One of his last big tests was Robbie Epps who somehow defeated Dwight Davison so naturally I thought Robbie would test him. After all, James Green whipped Scypion in a fight earlier in the year.

But nothing could stop Tony whose ferocity was such in the ring that even Dwight Braxton might have feared to step in the ring with him. Tony defintely had Bob Fitzsimmons like power the way he mowed them down and he never slowed down throwing power shots. Even after the ref stepped in, he still throwing leather.

Trust me, he was no Fernando Vargas who was really just a glorified club fighter.

Ah Gregory, the guy Charlie Weir poleaxed in 3 rounds 3 fights before Ayala. Dundee must have been his uncle or something.

The head will die alright, especially when fighting tomato can opposition

    As did numerous others.

If Ayala's girth was muscle i'm the Queen of England :rofl

Of course Epps was coming in off a loss to trailhorse Teddy Mann. An incredible test really

Epps beat Davison because Davison was known for sleepwalking thru the odd fight, showing no interest in winning of fighting whatsoever. Scypion could be similar.

    For fear of killing him.

Yes, and that same uncontrollable rage is what compelled him to **** and bash without remorse. It also totally destroyed a promising career before it even took off.

Albeit a fighter whose achievements comparative to Ayala are like comparing the grand canyon to a crack in the bedroom wall.

Jones Jr. is one of the FEW fighters I would dare to pick against Tony, esp. given Roy's handspeed. But, if Tony launched an all-out relentless assault, who couldn't he stop? This would've been one for the ages.

Tony was the ****. Even though forever a prospect, he simply was on another level talent and power-wise, with a rage to match.

It's scary to think of what Tony would do to Vargas...... besides learning the true meaning of ferocious, Fernando would be lucky not to end up like Duk Koo Kim....Cuevas was lucky in that Tony was only 14.....
