If that's important why are you mentioning a Cooney who had fought less than 1 1/2 minutes in close on 3 years?

The thread title clearly states Cooney of 82. Did Spinks beat Cooney in or prior to 82?

Surely Tyson would beat Cooney but the basic premise of the match and indeed most dream matches isn't that hard to follow.

Tyson would absolutely kill him, round one k.o. well maybe it goes to round two.
I like cooney, great left hand, lots of charisma, Irish American like me, but there's only a few men that could have stopped a prime mike tyson, a one handed clubber with a glass chin isnt a good match up here.

Cooney had very poor technique. Did not use his height and reach properly. A trainer like Emanuel Steward would have been handy.

Cooney stands no chance against Tyson. It doesn’t matter who his trainer is: Jack Blackburn, Ray Arcel, or Eddie Futch.

Prime for prime Tyson destroys Cooney.

I am not a '**** of either guy but Tyson is too good for Cooney.

    Tyson by mid rounds stoppage.
