This paragraph is my personal view point.

So when I see people say that Floyd Mayweather Jr has boring fights, I laugh because they don’t have an idea what “boxing” is. Mayweather is one of, if not the best “boxers” I’ve ever seen in my life. The way he breaks his opponents down is really something to see. If you can’t understand Floyd’s style, its because you’re into checkers and fans of the sport like me, are into chess.

Cotto needed more to just hold on to the 11th and win the 12th round to beat Margo. The best he could do was majority draw. 2 of the judges had Margo ahead by 2 points going into the 11.

I agree with the reason he gives as to why Pac will lose to "Money", and feel it will go to a decision as well.

    That's such a self serving statement...:patsch

I guess anyon who thought Floyd vs. DLh or Baldomir were boring fights just don't know boxing? Hell, even his fights w/ Judah and Hatton weren't that great till closer to the end.

yes they was. People have an easy time forgetting what the principle aspect of boxing really is. They have gotten use to the pac's, mayorga's of this world that they forgotten the fundamental art of boxing.

I doubt people forgot. They just want to be entertained. You can be highly skilled and STILL entertain. Floyd just doesn't let his hand go enough and is a defensive fighter. That doesn't always make for an entertaining fighter, no matter how skilled.

I find floyd boxing very entertaining to watch. He is a tactician in the ring, and it is this art i appreciate. Some people find chess boring to play because it requires to much patience, where others find the game to be very engaging and rewarding. It's apples and oranges. You either appreciate it or you don't.

But when you break down what boxing truly is, how can you not appreciate the skills we witness in a ring from a master tactician.

I don't alwasy have a problem with Floyd's fights. But the Baldomir fight was weak in the sense Floyd COULD have done more. Baldo was there for the talking. He played it safe, much like DLH when he became a safety first fighter.

Anyway, I can't begrudge anyone for liking his style, or that of Spinks, but the author's comment was just too uppity. As if you have to like Floyd's fight to be a real fight fan.

You don't have to like them but you at least have to knowledge that he is a master boxer in the ring. But instead we get lame statements like he fights like a coward. This is the problem i have. This type of stupidity. Someone will respect a slugger way more than a fundamentally sound boxer. Should this be the case?

By the way how many times has baldomir been knocked down? I dont know the answer so im asking?

Quite a horrible read I gotta say......

One reason why Floyd is so boring is the fights that he takes, he isn't willing to step up on competition when we know he can deal with it. Dude got skills but only willing to display it against those he have huge advantage over. Would you get excited over watching a cat fighting a mouse?

Paul is the staying down low in weight to fight them small guys, he does not make those small guys move up to his most comfortable weight to take advantage. BIG DIFFERENCE!

He is willing to take tough tough fights, fights where he gets his face pounded beyond recognition. He has never quitted while taking small damages, he quit when not only himself but everyone can see he doesn't have a chance for a comeback.

I don't have time to refute more BS from that pile of junk.

Why do people always bring up the Baldomir fight? Baldomir stated before the fight Floyd would be easier than Judah in that he is slower and skills arent as good.

I think Floyd was out to prove a point, school the ****ing life out of the Argentine bum for 12 full rounds, and expose him as a fraud. I would have done the same. Lol is it really hard to see?

You dont have to make someone pay by knocking them out.
