The man that has faced everybody that has fought somebody, Darnell Boone, is maybe the trickiest fighter at 154-175. From early in his career he gave some of the best fighters today the worst night of their career. He doesn't care who he fights and the guys that are "suppose" to dominate him end up struggling their way to a win against him ala Andre Ward, Sergey Kovalev, Adonis Stevenson. Let's us celebrate a fighter that may never be champion but has gave current champions the fight of their life. Darnell "Deezol" Boone. P.S. I truly believe K2 purposely ducked Boone and kept him far away from GGG when he was coming up through the ranks. Think about it, Boone is prime GGG resume filler. He took Willie Monroe's 0.:thumbsup A list of some known names Deezol faced: ___________________________________________ Andre Ward Jean Pascal Curtis Stevens Brian Vera Erislandy Lara Adonis Stevenson Sergey Kovalev Marco Antonio Periban Willie Monroe Jr
Not enough. Maybe $15,000 because of his resume alone, and that's from a Indian Casino on a good night. Most likely he gets $5,000 a fight. Good money though but taxes and trainers eat that **** up fast.
Since Kovalev and Magomedov utterly destroyed him is it safe to assume you're big fans of theirs?:think
Deezol is a living legend! Guys fought pretty much a who's who all the way from 154 to 175 and popped a good few cherries too, despite often taking fights on just a coupla weeks notice. IMO his tricky unorthodox style comes from his late transition from street fighting to the sweet science ... apparently his introduction to boxing came when his kid brother had no-one to take him to the boxing gym and once there Darnell decided to give the squared circle a try. Unwittingly he picked none other than Kell Pavlik to try his luck against and naturally had the snot beat outta him, but to his credit he stuck with it and became probably the most accomplished journeyman in the game. War Deezol!
