Who in all of fighting, not just boxing, but just plain fighting has the heart of Gabriel "King" Rosado. Rosado has the heart of a honey badger and ***** so big that Ruben Guerrero would cry at the site of. He fought Golovkin at 160 moving from 154 and turning down a title eliminator fight just to fight a guy he "heard" was up and coming. He fought 5 back to back hard ass matches and got robbed by the Mayweather mafia after beating "J-lean-on Drugs" weak ass(and I'm from Michigan talking down on this buster). He is now moving to MMA for a few fights just to test the water because he like to fight... PERIOD. So give props to a guy who is considered a professional journeyman who will give any and everybody a hard fight.:happy
He's really courageous. That's for sure. He wins the award for having one of the bloodiest faces in a fight that I've ever seen. He's in the new movie Creed too if yall didn't know. He's even in the trailer.
Check this out Abuffy. Here's Rosado obliterating Jesus Soto-Karass before Maidana and Thurman beat him, only he did it far quicker. Oh yeah he's also the guy that Berto got KTFO by.:deal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwqmwLQrvJM
Rosado is a reminder of why the term "journeyman" shouldnt be considered a pejorative term. Not everyone can be top shelf, and there are plenty of guys below the top tiers who do have solid skills and fighting heart and put up tough fights.
Rosado is the man. Didn't know he was going to MMA, that sucks. Plenty of awesome boxing matches to be in still - Kirkland, Lara, Jacobs, Angulo 2, a Tapia fight would be fun. But I know mma is practically boxings retirement home, once they stop really being able to compete successfully at the high level they seem to head to mma. Still, I think Rosado is still good enough to make some nice paydays and nice fights. But also, the dude takes way too much punishment, and maybe getting out while hes still young and healthy is a good thing. Once boxing takes 'it' from you, its the point of no return.... and Gabes career is on that path. Super fun fighter to follow though, still hope some of the fights like Kirkland or Jacobs can come off.
:good Hell Yeah, those guys deserve nice paydays too every once in a while. Who can a so called top fighter fight to prove he is elite if he has no levels? In come the journeymen.
Yeah, Rosado comes across as a good guy, and he's certainly one of the bravest in the ring that's for sure. He took a hellacious beating from Golovkin.
Rosado could fight Kirkland, Tapia, and Angulo 2, all in one year, all super winnable fights, and all still television worthy, and I think would build some pretty good momentum and be some decent paydays. To be honest even a fight against Mosley would be half way sellable, given that Mosley is trying hard to appear that hes re-energized and their little spat in the BKB. So that's 4 fights that would be perfect for Rosado at this stage, imo. And I think most of them besides the mosley one would have some decent underground buzz for them.
He says he was fighting Lemieux almost entirely out of 'feel' in the later rounds due to his broken orbital bone. Pretty crazy...
