He mentioned pirog after the fight, not a word about golovkin

Pirog was looking for a dance partner for nearly a year and sturm only mentions him after his penciled in for Isida and then Gealzaghe :patsch

Pittman gave him a all he could handle before that cut took it's tole a few years ago :good

Sturm started a little slow yesterday but he sure did come on strong during the middle rounds.
Was a very decent fight & win.

Zbik seemed to have a lost a bit since the Chavez Jr. bout.
Sturm vs Pirog would be a very interesting fight & not easy for Pirog should it happen in Germany in front of 20K+.

Sorry but Pittman was WAY out of his league when he fought Sturm a few years back, it wasnt even remotely close IMO.

He was stepping up in class big time but from what I remember Jamie was putting sturm under some good presure for the first 3 rounds.

Do you think he'll go near golovkin after the WBA ordered the fight for late 2012 kegs?

Doubtful...the WBA are 1 of the leniant orgs who very rarely force their "Super Belt" champs to fight a mandatory.

If say it does happen, i expect Sturm to be very defensive behind his solid jab as he would not want to risk vicious exchanges or else he will broken down quickly IMO by Golovkin.

Sturm looked decent from round 3 onwArds today, but he knows as well as anyone that golovkin would destroy him
