It's a nice bonus stat. How is that difficult to understand?

Imagine a combination of Khan and Thurman, that would result in a glass body and a glass chin.

I can imagine him taking a fight against Shields . At least she had the guts to get in the ring to spar Erroll Spence something Thurman won’t contemplate.

Quit being a dummy. Fights between 2 undefeated fighters will always add more intrigue/value/stakes than if 1 guy has a loss or more.

    Yes, on a superficial level.
But being undefeated doesn't mean jack on it's own. Its just a marketing ploy.

So they say. It just seems anytime he hears Erroll Spence’s name his injuries get worse.

I agree to a certain extent. I think it's a combination of the fact that he hasn't been active (five fights since the start of 2015, Spence and Crawford have had 10 each in that time and only one in the last two years), didn't look great against a mediocre opponent on his return and sometimes seems content to do just enough (he had the Garcia fight won after 7 rounds for me, but ended up scraping a split decision because he coasted the rest of the fight).

If he can recover his mojo from a few years ago he's right up there. But right now, Spence and Crawford just seem to have a bit more of a ruthless streak about them.

Like I said, to some degree it is, but it does carry some weight. Floyd wouldn't have made the money he made if he had losses on his record.

    Not really.
Most people don't know **** all about a fighters W-L column. I have been asked plenty of times if Floyd had lost, because they seemed to believe that he had lost.

I used to watch this Asian podcast thing during when May-Pac was announced. Of course none of them knew **** all about boxing.
One guy brought up Floyd's record and another says that: "Oh yeah, Pacquiao isn't undefeated anymore! Didnt he loose that one fight?"
 To which a third guy responded with: "No, I think he won it..."
But Manny was a superstar regardless of his L count.

Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko were massive stars all across Europe, yet nobody cared that they had lost. In fact people didn't know Wlad had lost at all. The casuals don't pay attention to it.
People knew Vitali lost to Lewis.
And they thought Wlad hadn't lost at all because he was undefeated for such a long period, which was often promoted.

The biggest stars in boxing always had losses on their records, Floyd being the exception.

For me, although his style of being a boxer/puncher is what I look for and admire most in a fighter, Thurman has been lacklustre in proving himself the best and has under-performed against lesser opposition. I think of him as I thought of Bute a few years ago or Stevenson as being King of the B fighters. He has now been around in the mix at welterweight for 6 years and yet has never fought the number 1 or 2 guys in the division and has instead hovered around the periphery fighting the above names which, whilst really good fighters, have never been considered top in the division.

A lot of talent and likeable personality but lack of willingness to prove himself over the years has made me lukewarm on Thurman.
