Great performance, and Troy must surely rank as one of our most underated fighters. The best of the three Waters boy by a fair margin IMO, but unlucky to have fought amongst the toughest company the three faced. Only lost to the very best opposition (In-Chul Baek, Gianfranco Rosi, Terry Norris, Simon Brown, Felix Trinidad) and almost all in top class bouts eg. world title bouts, eliminators etc.
One of my favourite clips. Rob Duggan soundtrack really gets the hairs on the back of the neck standing.
What also shouldn't be forgotten is how much of a dog he was, hitting Waters while he was down and well after the bell in the third. Enjoyed watching Jackson send him into orbit.
Norris committed more fouls than any fighter I have ever seen, complete ****. He fought a dude in the middle of his career and got DQ for hitting behind the head. In the rematch he got DQ'd again for hitting after the bell. He makes B-Hop look like a toothless ****ing altar boy
Waters was a brave enough fella , (True Brit Grit) , probably would have been walking around today being called Mr 3 TIMES Champ .That music spoilt the clip though , decent song but its boxing .
Troy had everything as a fighter and should have gone on to become a legitimate world champ. It was a real pity his nutcased old man held him back
Are you joking Josey, that song makes it, the bit at the start when the commentator says it's "Target practice" then a clip of a rabbit in the headlights etc... very well put together......... Love it when the music changes into "Born Yesterday" and as Norris is about to hit the deck theres a loud change in the beat ......... spine tingling. Watch and listen again for a few time mate :good
