My first thought, "good for Mosley!" Still, how can you be a partner of a promotion company and want to do business on the side for selfish gains with another promotion company---GBP's main competitor? Common sense says that is wrong. Mosley is undermining the GBP brand. Unless the stock purchase agreement was written by a clown, how can Mosley defend himself in court? Promotion is based largely on public relations. Mosley is harming the company.

It's like saying why boxer switch promotion. Top rank wasn't doing anything to get Marquez good fights. So he move to GBP, which I actually tought did a good job for him. If GBP is not helping Mosley get the best fight out there for him. I don't see anything wrong with what Mosley is doing. He's not under contract he is a stock holder from my understanding. He there pushing a marquez fight rather then you. Go solo. The man has no time to waste.

For the Trinidad fight. He took $23 million guarantee after being advised to risk taking the percentage of the PPV and live gate revenue which would have gotten him more money due to the success of the fight. He estimated that from PPV/live gate audience it generated around $90 million, and that Trinidad got $10.5 million while Arum got the same or more. Arum also tried to stop him taking the risk by trying to convince his managers the fight wouldn't do more than 600,000 PPV's. Bob's a very smart man

I think it's good for Mosley. GBP was not doing their job for him and his abilities were expiring even faster by not fighting for crazy long stretches. The man's gotta feed that crazy ex-wife of his right?

    GBP resurrected Mosley's career.

    Mosley's career pre GBP:

GBP helped Mosley at his advanced age and with his career spiraling down get BIG fights with:

    2006- Fernando Vargas
    2006- Fernando Vargas
    2007- Miguel Cotto

    Do you even watch boxing????!

GBP got him a fight with the biggest draw vs Mayweather. Got him BIG fights with Vargas, Cotto, Mayorga, Margarito....And BERTO.

Even when his career was pretty much done for, GBP kept it alive.

Mosley had not truly won a fight for 5 staright years, and he had the steroid allegations, yet GBP took him under their win and got him million dollar fights repeatedly.

GBP did theri JOB verywell with Mosley...Mosley is to blame for losing to Mayweather the way he did.

Nazeem Richardson has alluded to this several times, in round about ways.

Shane's wife used to look out for him. Now it seems like BHop is the one playing that role. His wife used to say he was too nice of a guy for a dirty business like boxing.
