Video clip from today's press conference of how close to 15 years ago as a teenager Chris Algieri used to take beatings from then World Champion kickboxer Tim Lane and kept coming back for more, earning Tim's respect. So much so that he introduced him to his own trainer Keith Trimble and the 2 have been his coaches ever since.

Algieri has compiled a record of 40-0 as a professional with 3 World Titles (20-0 as a kick boxer with 2 World Titles & 20-0 as a boxer with 1 World Title) to his credit. His trainers and his team seem to be just as confident as Algieri himself (must be contagious) that Chris will make that 41-0 & 4 World Titles as a professional come sunday morning in Macau China.

Whether you think Algieri can pull off the upset of the decade or not by defeating a living legend in a seemingly in great shape Manny Pacquiao you have to admit its a pretty cool back story as unique and us usual as Chris Algieri himself.

Difference between Algieri and other taller guys Manny has fought is that he actively seeks to keep it long, and even though Manny's camp are trying to play it down, I do think Algieri's range and length are close to breaching Manny's 'breaking point' in terms of being able to get inside and render it ineffective.

I think Algeiri gives him big problems.

Chris sees the final bell but will struggle with the in and out style of PAC along with his ability to PIVIOT so quickly.
Chris is impressive and perhaps we might see another Bradley decision :think

Algieri moves a lot and well but for a runner he's not very fast. Pacs foot work speed and mobility should nullify algieris slick but slower movement. Algieris got no snap in his punches...hard to keep a guy like Pac at bay if you ain't got no pop. Chris could make ruslan (who I think won anyway) have to reset nonstop by poppin that jab but we all seen how Pac can and will throw from any position and angle...he doesn't really reset. I see Pac breaking Algieri down. Not a one punch ko but a gradual beating until Chris's corner or ref stops it.

I just watched the HLs of the Provo fight and never mind average speed, Chris looked slow. If Pac uses his head movement like he did against Marquez (apart from the KO obviously) he'll make Algieri miss and get inside. We'll see how good CA is at clinching because he's not gonna keep Pac on the outside.
